Congrats to Dutch town on their Public school championship in D-1 Bossier wins the public title in D-3. Great year guys. Any reason why public schools get dominated every year? is there any reason that a 250 pound man fights in a heavy weight division and a 185 pound man fights in a cruiser weight? Soccer is a game of supreme skill and requires years to perfect possibly a lifetime. Let’s look at Dutchtown? 8 club players and 3 guys that played along the way. Now let’s look at Jesuit. 30 club players and 20 more on JV. It’s not a fight or argument worth having because history is too strong. There should be four divisions. Public D-1 and Public D-2. Private D-2 and Private D-2. This year Willow vs Holy Cross and Catholic Vs Jesuit. Dutchtown Vs Neville and Bossier vs whomever.

You don’t believe that Derrius Guice ended up at Cathlic by chance? football is about winning and recruiting. Soccer is about going to a great academic school for an education. Nobody goes to a high school for soccer. It just so happens that a bunch of really rich kids go to Catholic and club soccer in the US is expensive with zero return on the dollars forked out. The parents get lured in with the thrill of victory if they play on the best team at the best club! Only to realize some kid that’s played on the streets of Brazil with no training is coming for their spot. If the US is ever to be great in soccer it will be a model based on the better you get the less you pay. Then all high school soccer teams will stink and the best players will never see a high school team field. Until then let them eat their cake. Two divisions D-1 Public D-2 public and D-1 private and D-2 private. History says this is better than what we currently have.

Derrida Guice played soccer? What position? Can’t believe we are already to this time of year, the “everyone deserves a trophy” portion means the season is wrapping up. This season really flew by.

There is zero doubt they have great results with really good teams but Idk if a willow vs jesuit game now would end up the same way if they played right now

I don't think Willow really falls into the public school category since they are a charter and I don't think they are beholden to public school attendance zones. I looked back 5 years on all divisions on the boys side and all champs were private schools. One of the few that came close was Dutchtown but that was likely due to their overall size/talent pool as about the largest high school in LA. I think Gallstar's points are legit.
