A thread to talk about young/new coaches in the Louisiana area that are on the rise and ones we should keep an eye on. Or it can also be a thread to give credit/praise to some under the radar coaches doing well at some not so big name programs
Do your best to include where they’re currently coaching, how long they’ve been coaching there, potentially their coaching history and how they got to where they are, and any accomplishments

A thread to talk about younh/new coaches in the Louisiana area that are on the rise and ones we should keep an eye on. I'd keep an eye on Ascension Episcopal and Krewe Rush coach Munir Poca. He took over the 07 Dynamo boys team at regionals last year and led them to the semifinals where they only lost to a last minute 2nd overtime goal against some really impressive competition. He is now the head coach of the 07 Krewe Rush (Dynamo + Rush new team) and is the new head coach of the Ascension Episcopal team. Ascension had some very good results such as beating Parkview Baptist, Acadiana, and St Charles, and tying St Louis. They reached semifinals where they narrowly lost to ESA. With it being his first year at Ascension I'd say he's doing a great job over there.

Coach Kiran might be getting the call up to the big leagues of D-1.

Sounds like a good fit. I think there will be a couple openings in Ascension Parish soon. One retirement and a new school.

Coach Munir has a talent to let the boys be free but hold them accountable for their responsibilities. Must be a Brazilian thing. I’m looking forward to my son having the chance to go back to back LCSL Div I State Champs.

Joe Roberts at Ben Franklin Doing great things and a great guy 2nd that. First year at BF, takes them to a state final. Has them playing very well. Coached against his 2013 Fire team as well, was very calm on the sideline & very positive and supportive of his players.

Coach Drew Nyman from Zachary tied Dutchtown this year in his second year with the program. Incredible turn-around. Expect big things from him in the future.

He lacks class, once made fun of me for not getting minutes in a game against them but failed to realized I didn’t dress out because of injury
