most of the picks posted are all going with the favorites. does anyone see any upsets?
there are two games that i think the underdog MAY win in Div I. CL suprises st pauls. cl does have a lot of pride and if the field is in bad shape they could pull this one out.
northshore over jesuit. yea yea i know this is a long shot but i think they play at northshore and it could happen.
what do ya'll think

The two in Div I that I could see would be Mandeville over Catholic BR or Rummel over BM.
Unless Northshore pulls the 10 men in the box defense, Jesuit puts in at least 3 or 4.
As far as CL, I don't think they will, be it is possible, becasue I haven't really seen anything about them since St. Paul tourney. They could be the upset.
Most probable of all these in my mind would be Rummel over BM. They played twice and it was 1-0 boht times and Rummel is home.

I agree with hdkjga, but neither of these would be major upsets, not at least to the level of goat's choices. Regardless I will go with the favorites, although the weather/field condions may be an "equalizer" in some cases.

I don't think there will be any upsets this round, but Rummel will be the one to do it, if any. St. Paul will roll over Cen. LaF IMHO having played them last week, I know what they have the potential of doing. We saw their A game while we played a bad game. I plan to see St. Paul easily over Cen La.

Goat, you missed an upset - Rummel over Br. Martin!! How could you?! Will you be coming down to Metairie if Rummel gets by Caddo Magnet and Lafayette advances? I went to Lafayette the last two years. Your turn to travel.

goat will probably be too worried about Acadiana's game...I'll definitely be there, though.

i don't see this as a big upset. they had close games in the regular season. i am really glad rummel won. i think they will beat caddo and then they would get lafayette (most likely) at home. i hear it is very tough to beat them on that postage stamp they call a field.
to answer your question i will not be able to make the game but i am sure mcsruff will keep me up to date on our cells. congrat rummel and good luck until you meet the lions.

Goat, I'm ashamed of you. It's okay for us to travel to Lafayette two years in a row, but when it's your turn you find some excuse! LOL As for as the postage stamp field, both teams play on the same field last time I checked. It's an advantage and disadvantage for both teams. It is no smaller, and a whole lot better, than what Br. martin use to call a home field. Rummel is trying to build a stadium on the site. But, lot's of opposition from the neighbors. We could use whatever influence you may have. Call the Jefferson Parish Council and let them know you support the building of the Rummel stadium.

Goat's an Acadiana fan. He's only a Lafayette fan when it's convenient for him...
...or when they win state again.

Didn't mean to start a feud here. LOL I knew Goat is a Ram first, but he was at both semifinal games that the Raiders lost to the Lions last two years. We've been hoping for quite some time to finally get the Lions at home. This looks like the best chance in a long time.
But, both teams need to win one more before that can happen. Both face formidable foes. So, nothing is assured yet. But, if it comes to pass that the Raiders and Lions finally meet in Metairie I expect to see you there, Goat. No excuses. Call in sick at work. Bring the family. Come to the postage stamp field. I'll leave word at the gate to let you in.
