Well, I predicted Bro Martin to win, but I also did say, if anyone was to upset anyone it would be Rummel. Must have been a good game. Details?

in my opinion that puts the winner of the lafayette \mandy-cath br game in the drivers seat. i don't think rummel can beat lafayette or cath.br.
the top bracket is the toughest bracket. jesuit st pauls acadiana and shreve lafayette is definitly the cream of the crop in the bottom along with cath br.

This game was a very physical battle. A game of 2 halves. Rummel had the first half and scores in the 32nd minute. As expected, BM sends numbers in the second half dominating play, spending almost the entire half in the attacking third. They have several good chances and miss, the big one was an open shot off the post. Rummel has a great chance in the second half but a fingertip save from keeper then off the post denies Rummel. But BM kept pounding but just couldnt finish. A very exciting game and certainly a heartbreaker for BM. It just seems it wasnt BM's day today.

oldref, bet you also didn't think Rummel could beat Brother Martin. If they get by Caddo Magnet, then they may finally get Lafayette at home. Lost the last two years in the semis at Lafayette. I do agree that the other half of the bracket seems tougher. But, we'll see.

Hey lasocrfan! Long time no see...
I think if Lafayette and Rummel make the semis then it will definitely be in NOLA this time. Hopefully the outcome will not differ from the last two years, though.

yeah, you guys are traveling TO Caddo for the quarters and Lafayette has their quarterfinal match at home. In this case, the team that travele last(Rummel) gets the home game.

Good to see you again McScruff. Hope that both teams win so that the Lions/Raiders match up is made. It'll be a fun one to see. Rummel is definately not the team it was last year, but the coach always has them playing at the end. Almost everyone had Br. Martin in that game - some had Br. Martin winning it all. But, the Raiders have owned the Saders in the playoffs the last few years. If the game becomes a reality i'd like to meet you and Goat in person. It's been a fun couple of years chatting on this forum about soccer. My days are numbered as my son graduated last year. But, I hung on for one more year hoping for this game.

haha...I hope you have lingered in vain.
I would say that there is a ZERO percent chance goat makes it to the game...as for me 100%. Unlike Goat, I didn't forget or abandon my roots.
Of course, I have a lot better feeling about Rummel being in that game than Lafayette. Catholic BR is a VERY tough opponent. So, maybe we should wait until after Monday to conclude this conversation.
I for one, have not doubted Rummel these playoffs. I know that they are a good team that is capable of beating any team in the state. I also know that they will be SKY HIGH for the chance to beat Lafayette...finally.

dont rule out catholic and dont get ready for a new orleans game. if my memory serves me well, which it does at times, then if catholic gets by laf, rummel travels to baton rouge, and will se new orleans in the finals. correct me if im wrong in that scenario ladies and gentlemen. good luck at caddo raiders.

naw dude. Rummel will host. Both teams will have traveled last, and they will have traveled twice to Catholic's one. The top/bottom thing doesn't apply in this case.
