Last year had Lafayette, Acadiana, Capt Shreve, University, Terrebonne, Episcopal, St Amant, East Ascension, Dutchtown, and St Micheals. It was a prety good tournament, and should be good again this year.

Our team had a tough group last year, St. Amant, Captain Shreve, and St. Michaels. But, I can't imagine how difficult the groups will be with those teams listed. Will the teams be grouped according to seeding as in last years tournament?

haha...comeauxcomo..haha
toolshed....I like tournaments where each bracket has tough teams....so yes I will try to place the teams based on my knowledge of their performance this year and what they have returning so that the brackets are fairly evenly balanced.
We played in a tournament where Brother Martin and I were in the same bracket...perhaps the two best teams in the tournament that year and we had to meet in brackets instead of the semis or finals where it would have been more fan friendly and make sense. The game ended in a 0-0 tie. The tie breaker to see who advanced out of bracket went to the last tie breaker....PKs....so we had a shootout to see who advanced....we lost...they advanced...
Funny thing...we gave up NO GOALS in three games in that tournament AND DIDN'T advance out of bracket...haha
So I like to even the brackets out as much as possible....
I also TRY to place teams so that they don't have to face district foes in bracket and schedule them with teams they may not normally face whenever possible...doesn't always work out, but I try.

I enjoyed playing Captain Shreve, as I would never have played them since my team is a DIII team. I think that it's great to play tournament games against teams you would never play during your season. I think that this is one of the resons why this tournament is of such high quality.

I'm suprised St. Paul's won't choose to defend their Sacred Heart Cup title at Vandebilt's Brothers of the Sacred Heart Tournament that same weekend.

I'm suprised St. Paul's won't choose to defend their Sacred Heart Cup title at Vandebilt's Brothers of the Sacred Heart Tournament that same weekend. My honest opinion is expecting St. Paul's to back out and play in the Sacred Heart Tournament. They have been competeing in it for a couple of years now.

Hasn't St Paul's beaten Vandy in the finals for two years running?

it may help to post how far each team went in the playoffs, like you did last year. That makes it look even better. haha

Jesuit has added to the TOP (Silver Division). If no one drops the field is set for the top division. The lower division needs 2 teams for a 12 team group and 6 to make the second division a 16 team field.

2nd class tournament still.

I'm sorry, did you have a point? Wait...do you EVER have a point? Oh wait..I see...How could I have missed it...now I'm not gonna win the "most quality teams in a tournament award" that's given each year. With "quality" team being defined by the one and only LSUcKS.
I should have planned better. I'm a failure. My mom will never talk to me again. My dog...EVEN my dog will leave me. OH WOAH IS ME!

Hey Pitch, I would have figured it would be a first class tournament in the "Great Ones" eyes with the inclusion of the almighty Jesuit(no disrespect to the Jays intended). Bandwagon jumping has a new king. Whatever. Surprised to see lsucks took time out from his crying in his kool-ade to write something --I thought he had the sense to disappear after the last time he humiliated himself on here.
I guess this means we'll get another dumb rhyme that I'll get bored reading after the second line, and all the little prepubescent eminem wannabees who get off on his lame crap will chime in with a seminal "Yeah!--what he said!"............right
Ron White is correct--"You cant fix stupid."
