I've got alot of problems with this team, but I don't exactly know if I can say them, or the admin. might get mad (for singling out people), so I'll just keep them to myself until someone else takes about one certain player. But I've still got problems with the team.

But I've still got problems with the team. I do as well. The coaches should have picked 4 real defenders for the first team. One of those kids is a midfielder and was all year. Carter Rossett was a first team all city defender and deserved to be a first team all district player as well. After seeing some of the other players listed, I feel the other 3 Shreve starters (Ryan Watson, Thomas Blyzes and Paxton Monsour) all deserved to have been placed on the honorable mention list at the very least. Some good players are left off the lists every year. I want to make sure the Shreve kids get the recognition they deserve.

Several teams without a player on the list. Sometimes that is warranted, sometimes not. I wonder if some coaches even went to vote. no matter, there should be a complete third team or none. whats with the HM.

Exactly my problem. Blackman's a midfielder, so why put him in defence and take up another kid's spot? You may as well just put a 3-5-2 instead of calling him something he's not.
Paxton deserves second team ahead of Boris Drja, just my opinion. I agree mostly with Shrevedad. HM has been done for several years now, I guess a third team is just way too much work.

How can two freshman that dont start all of the time(Steven Bush and Zach Kelley) make the second team and honorable mention over two juniors(Ryan Watson and Thomas Blyzes) that started all season and were both in the top 12 in the city in assist??

Steven Bush, Zach Kelly, and Spencer Inman are young but they all started over 95% of the games and made excellent contributions to a very good team. These players were definitely a vital part of Magnet's success.

95%? maybe closer to 60% for Zach and Stephen and Spencer didn't start until after the first Shreve game where he really proved he deserved the spot and from then on he did start.

I think you took too many headers over the season. They started most of the games, I know Spencer hardly ever left the field after the first game he started and Zach didn't play the whole game but started most of them. Stephen had a short period where he didn't start in the middle of the season. I don't disagree about the other good players on other teams but don't discount the contributions these guys made. We relied on the upperclassmen and one really good sophmore who made first team....but somebody had to fill the vacant spots and play well or we wouldn't have had the success we had.

haha i agree with you there, i just doubt that they started 95% of the games. Stephen did go through a period in the middle of the season when he didn't start because Spencer started in the back and Micah got pushed up to Stephen's spot, but near the end of the season, Micah went back to defense and Stephen went back to midfield. There were also a few games when Ethan Colbert got the start over Zach. Maybe it was closer to 70 or 80, but oh well. They're all good players and helped Magnet a lot and deserved the honor (I never doubted that).

You're probably right, I did not count the games against Huntington and Natichtoches (maybe Southwood?) because coach usuallly let all the seniors start and rightfully so. There were also some changes for a couple of the other games. I guess age is worse than getting hit in the head with soccer balls. Anyway, it's nice to see that there are a lot of good players to go around in Shreveport. The next few years should be fun.
