Did Jason Garey play soccer in Louisiana when he was in High School? I thought I had heard his name in these forums well if that's true then he was the 3rd overall pick in the MLS superdraft.

I was disappointed that we did not get a chance to see him play Sat. night. Also did not get to see Kries play.

Play where saturday night? At an alumni game? I doubt the Crew would release him becasue he was injured 20 minutes into a preseason game. I'll edit this update as soon as I can.

I played St. Amant when Jason Garey was there and keeping up with that dude was like trying to outrun a horse. I have never seen someone run that fast AND control the ball (keep it from getting more than 2 yards away from him). in my opinion, I think that he was a better ball handler (excuse the term) and finisher than Dwayne Jones.

I believe he and Dwayne Jones are on different levels.

I was disappointed that we did not get a chance to see him play Sat. night. Also did not get to see Kries play. Nice job by the genius' with MLS, both on the bench and in the marketing department. I'm sure everyone going to see the hometown boys were real happy to pay $20 a pop for an uninteresting 1-1 draw, and neither Jason.

having been someone who was fortunate enough to play premier w/ jason and against d. jones when he played for nosa i thought i would ad my 2 cents... never thought jason's speed was one of his strong points, wasn't really fast, but wasn't slow either.. Jason was one of the most cerebral players i have ever seen, made great decisions w/ and w/out the ball, and made great first touches.. imo, jason had less ability than dwayne, but did a much better job of developing his ability w/ an unmatched work ethic.. dwayne was the fastest player i have seen on a soccer field... glad to see jason make a living out of playing the game he grew up w/
