Why do you think that?

Magnet is going to have a very difficult time next year. Losing Morgan and Beason as keepers, Dale as head of defense, Ballard as work horse in the midfield and Scott up top with his speed. Flowers and Inman will be heavily relied on in defense, Kelly and Micah and Bush in the midfield and Eric up top. Its going to be a rebuilding year in my views.

I think Micah played in the back for most of the high school season as well as in club.

Magnet is going to have a very difficult time next year. . . I think this past year was their tough year. These guys will be operating much smoother with one another next year. In spite of the youth and erratic play this past season, they still came together at the end and gave the state champs one of their best games in the playoffs. They will miss those seniors, but every other school in the area is losing them, too. I think Magnet looks the strongest for 06-07 in D1D1. Who knows how they will compare to the other districts by then. Just about all the probable starters play premier soccer, and there's still a lot of club play between now and then. Hopefully, Caddo Magnet can get down south to one of those early-season tournaments next year.

I would not rank Dutchtown in a preseason Top Ten...or if so..toward the bottom. We must find an identity this next year. We lost 9 Seniors, 6 of which contributed with lots of minutes. We're returning with a 5-6 Juniors (to be seniors next year) that either started or saw lots of minutes last year and have a lot of Juniors/Sophs to be that will contribute. We definitely have the potential to be in the mix...but these kids will need to gain experience as the season progresses and look for us to be playing strong by midseason.

Laffy will be strong but a different team--they should be in the mix for sure.
Interested to see what becomes of a post Katrina Jesuit. Should be good, but maybe not as loaded with depth as in the past--Brother Martin too. Question is to see who is still around next year in NO as the city either mends or fails.
St Pauls JV wasnt great, but Trevor is a great coach and they will be good--question is weher they can achieve consistently all year.
FHS will be the bomb--period. Losing Garret Jackson will hurt, but they will be the class of the Northshore.
Shreve will be young and small. They lose a lot of great players and contributors. Might be a different year for them--definitely rebuilding.
District 4--will be weird across the board. BRHS loses 3 out of 4 on defense and 75% of its goal scoring in Nick Carter. Young group is solid, but they will have to learn to score more from elsewhere. Catholic couldnt score last year and had great defense, but is losing 4 defenders and a GK. Bears are seriously rebuilding(more than last year), but the youth in their program will be solid in 2 years. Dutchtown loses the most--Griffins will have to totally retool a defense that has been dominant over the last 2 years, and lose Jarret Gautreaux amongst their top 3 scorers. DHS depth is good, just real young and smaller. St Amant loses 3 defenders out of 4 and Tyler Melancon, but bring back goal scoring machine Sebastian Torrado, and midfielders Jordan Lambert and Jake Aucoin. Dutchtown and St Amant will be almost mirror images of each other, with a few seniors surounded by a lot of underclassmen District 4 will be very very close next year--moreso than this year I believe. Look for 1 team to come out of District 4 and surprise some folks.

I like Fontainbleauright now. St Pauls will still be tough, but if FHS returns all of their non seniors, they will be tough to beat, especially at home.
