It is Ryan Duhon not Ross Duhon and how can a player who is honorable mention all district, make 1st team all state. This is why high school soccer has no credibility when it comes to voting for all state. For all the other LHSAA sports you have to be 1st team all district just to qualify for all state. The Lafayette paper and the Lake Charles paper made the districts change their all district selections to fit the newspapers format , you can not have 17 1st team all district players when there is only 11 on the field. High school soccer needs to get it together.

Nobody from state semifinalists St. Martin's or Newman?? Or from any school in New Orleans?
The same thing happened in girls Div. II.

The reason why some teams don't have players represented is most likely because their coaches didn't nominate their players.

swla: Just a note, Division I, district 3 coaches did not change the selections to fit the paper. The paper (I only know about The Advertiser) changed the lists to fit the paper. The selections remain the same. The papers can print whatever they want. The teams remain what the coaches voted. There are no rules in the LHSAA book relating to soccer district teams. The Advertiser made up their own rules. The LHSAA allows every district/division in soccer to establish their own guidelines for district teams.

Yes...the problem is coaches don't become members if the LHSCAA and don't nominate their own players to be voted for. We can rehash the reasons for this, but its been done before...lack of communication, etc.
I have seen it get a "little" better the past couple of years, but we have a long ways to go.

What a joke..especially All District. A lot of these teams don't have any All District players, yet get more than one on the team. As for the Allstate selections listed above, I don't have any problem with any of the players.

Dillan Boudreaux from Teurlings, who are you talking about yeah... how did he make 1st team all-state from being honorable mention all-district?? haha i think it had something to do with not playing that many games in district due to injuries and such and then playing well in playoffs up to finals... just a thought*
