Old Phart If Barbe is the only respectable soccer next to St Louis I really think you a totally wrong. Since moving into the Lafayette district Barbe has been a bottom dweller in the district, where as Sulphur has made the playoffs several times, was second in district once and went to the quarter-finals. As of developing players at St Louis, Jason has a certain style of play and to make it successful he has to have at least 4 to 5 quality premier players on the field. If you look at his state champion teams in the past he has had these players. Put good athletic rec players with really good premier players, play no mistake soccer and you have a chance to win a state title.

Jason teaches his kids to have heart and never give up, all his teams are close friends with one another and have been playing on the same rec teams since they were 5 years old, they are all used to playing with each other because there are only 1 or 2 rec teams in lake charles for each age group... and for the 5 premier players that havent been playing with all the other rec players are usually very talented and dedicated players becuase they have to travel to lafayette just to play premier..... id say a very good group of players

No disrespect SWLA but where was Sulphur in this year's playoffs? 2005, a "rebuilding year" StL was a State semifinalist. The SWLA talent pool is shallow. The smallest school is a perpetual contender and regularly beats the bigger schools.
At Sulphur, Barbe or Sam Houston getting in the playoffs at all is success. At StL going deep in the tournament is expected. They would have gone deep in any division this year.

I was referring to you saying Barbe was the only quality team in the area other than St Louis, Barbe has not made the playoffs in over 6 years. The district Barbe and Sulphur is in, top to bottom is one of the best in the state and it is a big deal for Sulphur to make the playoffs in that district especially with just rec players.
