I'm not sure but the only two games in the playoffs to score as many goals as 9 and come up 5-4 was the two first round games on the Northshore. St. Pauls vs. Brother Martin 4-5 Fontainebleau vs. St. Amant 5-4 Both games had mistakes punished, fantastic saves, comebacks, superb individual efforts, and last second heart stoppers to put the game away. None of the four teams could claim they had their best day, but they were incredible to watch.

Vandy-Jesuit. Vandy scored what looked like the winner with 5 mins. to go, but Jesuit scored the equalizer with time running out. Great advertisement for high school soccer.

Lafayette high vs. Jesuit. They reason is because Jesuit was up 1-0 in a real good game and second half Lafayette high turned on the jets and blew past jesuit scoring on a head from a throw in and a p.k. with less than 10 mins left.

TC Vrs. OC in the quarters... TC was down by two and scored three with 3 minutes left to come back and win it. They also scored again in stoppage time, but it was called offsides.

All are good choices. I'm partial to the Fontainebleau/St Amant playoff game--that game was beserk. Might have been the craziest game I've ever been associated with. I just had nothing to say after that game --I was speechless, just kind of shocked at what i had just observed. Game had everything: insane goals, great saves, punished mistakes, referee issues, comebacks, drama.
Shreve/ Fontainebleau playoffs must have been a great match
Fontainebleau/St Pauls to decide the district championship.
Catholic HS/ Vandebilt 0-0 tie
Brother Martin/St Amant 0-0 tie
St Amant 2, Shreve 1 at the Dutchtown invitational
University 2, Acadiana 0 at the Dutchtown Invitational
OC/Tuerlings game is a definite candidate for game of the year. three goals in the last 10 to win is freakin nuts.
Another great game involved OC with Dutchtown at the showcase. D-town just ran over OC in the first half and a 2 goal lead(which could have been way more). OC came out in the second half and just dominated DHS and tied the score 2-2.

Not many people know about this game, or might disagree with me but Slidell vs. St. Pauls, alot of action in that game, mostly by St. Pauls. Slidell's goalie saved 20 out of 21 shots, St. Pauls scored with 3 minutes left in the game on a break away. Some people might disagree with me, but to me, this was the most action packed game this year.

Some people might disagree with me, but to me, this was the most action packed game this year. St. Paul's had a terrible showing in that game and most of the shots were right at the keeper. Now, in the keeper's defense he had two very nice saves in that game, which were more or less full extension. But honestly, the game never should have been that close and there wasn't a whole lot of intensity at all, at least not from St. Paul's. So I'm just not sure about calling that one of the most action packed game of the year. Now if St. Paul's had been on and Ford had hit like 3 sick goals to keep Slidell in it you might have my vote.

The Shreve vs. Fontainebleau quarterfinal was awesome, but after seeing Fontainebleau win so many games in the final minutes, I must say it didn't surprise me all that much. I was sitting in the stands with Rob Mingo, Andrew Crane, Peyton Eustis and a couple other SPS players and we couldn't help but shake our heads and laugh. We just kept saying, "Only Fontainebleau can score a goal in the last 30 seconds to tie the game so many times." And when you think about the number of times that they did it this past year it really is pretty crazy.
Here are a couple of them: OT @ St. Paul's in district Last 5 minutes vs. St. Paul's in playoff seeding Last few minutes vs. St. Amant Last 30 seconds vs. Shreve
I think they may have had one or two more, but still four games in the last 5 minutes is a pretty good statistic to have.
My vote is probably on the St. Amant vs. Fontainebleau first rounder, though.

Definitely the 2nd and 3rd FHS vs SPS matchups... as well as FHS vs St Amant and Shreve. Gotta put Jesuit vs Laffy up there too, and what about Rummel vs Lafayette? i wasnt there but that sounded like an awesome game.

Don't forget STM v. AHS. 110 minutes of soccer + 10 OT penalty kicks to decide the game. When is the last time you saw a goal from 50 yards out with less than a minute to play.

dont forget about Lafayette high vs Saint Louis Catholic, in the finals of the Saint Louis tournament, 1-1 tie in regulation, 2 OT no goals, and i think Saint Louis won 7-6 in pks...
