There will be no JV game for Laf-WG. The varsity game will start fifteen minutes sooner because of the weather. I think they would have rescheduled had it not been that it is Senior Night tonight.

well i liked it better when there was a lot of people arguing on the d1d3 thread but i guess that all kind of died down since everybody knows carencro is the best there is...
(lets see if that will kick up some controversy)

here is my view on Carencro: yea you have the most dominate player in the district (Thomas) & a good keeper. But what sets you apart from the others is your team concepts and coaching. Lafayette has better overall talent. Acadiana plays a better system. But overall system, player, and team play Cro takes it.

Sulphur 4 - Como 0
What is the word on this score? I was shocked to see such a one-sided scoreline. Any details? This could be really hurt Como's playoff chances if sulphur brings in a few more results.

Carencro has thomas whom everyone knows is gonna take you on and come at you. but at the same time you have corey hebert, fast and cuts the ball quick who also takes you on. so that has two strong attackers. goalie yeah we all know about him. but everyone is focussing the attention away from Jake hebert. he used to be a keeper, played forward for cro and coup de gras last year, and now plays center back. I think hes the best defender in the in the district, if not the state. I think alot of credit should be due to him. enough about them, lafayette, i think will come up really strong in this last stretch possibly nocking carencro down a win. also. NISH has a high possibility to do so. Acadiana I think would be the team to look at the most once playoffs come around. I feel a strong fight for the finsih from them.
whos the 3rd and 4th place finishers?

I think the Sulphur 4 to 0 win over Comeaux seals the deal for 4 th place with Acadiana ending up with 3rd and Lafayette rallying for district runnerup. Doesn't Sulphur just have NISH and Westgate remaining? Even losing to NISH wouldn't eliminate them I don't think. I'm pulling for a Sulphur/Caddo rematch in the first round.

well let me start stirring the pot. for all of you who are assuming acadiana will come in thrid , i say WAKE UP. the season isn't over and i think they will finish second. now for the hard part. this is the first time in a long long time that i think this district is not up to par with jesuit. sorry guys but i don't see any team from dist 3 matching up well with them. that doesn't mean one of our top three teams can't beat them but i think it would be considered a major upset.
heres why i think this. 1. cro is a very good team but lets face it, most of their scores come from one player. the jesuit coach will have his best players on him and cro will have to rely on other players, (i just don't see it). 2. Lafayette not the team they were last year, still very good but not the same as last year. please don't get mad at me but i think the advantage goes to jesuit for two reasons, talent and coaching you have to give the edge to jesuit in both of these areas. 3. acadiana, while my heart says they could beat jesuit head up, my brain says not until they find a way to score more points. coach lou will have to have his players fired up and not sit on his heals and just play defence. he will have to attack jesuit right away. if he tries to play them the way he has in the past he will not be successful.
OK now tell me why i am wrong,(and i hope i am) good luck to all dist 3 teams in the playoffs and i hope to see one or two of these teams in the state title game.
