i'm pulling for ash but given recent results I think it's going to be a really big task for them to beat Pineville at their place. Even when we had a super talented team we still struggled against them at their place. I'll be there though and I'll come back after to give my report.

I must say I was very impressed with this game. Game started out well, ASH played a good passing game and were well organized, while Pineville played more of a long ball game, granted they were missing Nick Weeks who really makes a difference for that team. First goal really was a strange goal, forward for ASH let the ball bounce and when the keeper for Pineville came out to punch it, it rebounded off the ASH forward's head and went back into the goal. ASH had a free kick cleared off the line and had several opportunities. Pineville's equaliser was a penalty kick, good call, sweeper missed a header and it went right to the feet of the forward who was taken down from behind. In the second half, Pineville equalised on a good header but really nobody challenged the forward so he should've scored. ASH then seemed to get on the front foot again and had several good chances to get back into the game with the keeper pulling off a string of good saves to keep the lead. For the equaliser for ASH, what it appeared to have happened was that on the corner, the goalkeeper parried the ball and the ASH forward ran in and tapped it into the goal, but in actual fact it appears that the forward came across and headed the ball at the goalkeeper and as the ball came off the crossbar, he knocked it in with his hand, but nobody saw it and it comes as no surprise as neither the referee or AR had a really good view of it. So it was level 2-2. ASH had a good bit of possession and really looked the more likely to score but it seemed the game was going to go into OT. ASH's winner came in the last 2 minutes of the game, foward won the ball just past the halfway line and played a ball through to his strike partner who ran onto the ball at around the 18 and hit a shot into the far side netting to put the game away. Really a shock result in my opinions but I was impressed with how organized ASH were and how well they passed the ball. Game would have probably been a bit different had Weeks played so we'll have to wait until the next game to see just how much of a difference he'll make for them. But a good result at Pineville to keep ASH at the top of the district with Deridder, who also won I believe

He's trying to put some perspective into a score. A forum of stats and numbers is pretty not good.

I live on the Northshore. I have absolutely nothing to do with Central LA soccer.

Yes, right. Continue on trying to curtail productive posts(posting) on the board.
