Well it'd make sense just to call it week 7 and just say there is no week 6 poll.

I think this is a good idea anyway. Historically, there is a lot that changes in the polls the week after Christmas. The St. Paul's Tournament is usually a good indicator of how some of the top teams in the state will do down the stretch. I believe there are 7 Top 10 DI teams and 3 Top 10 DII and DIII teams that are participating this year. A field of 16 that includes 10 Top 10 teams will make for some good holiday football!

Im not too sure that the st paul tourny is the best indicator of things to come. Look at the results of fhs and sps in the tournament and then their respective playoff results. FHS lost all three games in the tournament with the third being a shellacking to vandy. They then went on to the state championship match. SPS I believe went to the final in the tournament and lost to a very strong jesuit team. Then in the playoffs they went one and done albeit it was an unfortunate draw having to play bro mart.
So i guess you cant always be too sure about what kind of indicator this tournament is. Many teams might go into this trying players at different positions trying to get things set for district that might not be playing out as planned because the competition is a great test to see if such changes work or not. It's sounds kind've like a dumb plan but you never know with some teams.
