EA played both... so here is my thought: - Dutchtown has a better defense than St Amant BUT St Amant has a better offense than Dutchtown... a lot will be decided in the midfield

like i said when that game comes around the defense is going to have to be on their toes all night and keep eric under control in the midfield and c-bass is going to have to get some help from his entire midfield

Right now i would have to go with Dutchtown they beat EA and soon they play St Amant in district play. But they are not the best team when ever EA plays there best but they are a lil in consistent at times but that will all come together late in the season with such a ypung ball club.

I think it is great that Ascension Parish has three teams of such quality. The Parish series is always tough, and you can really throw out the records when they play against each other. Next year will really be a hoot when all three teams are in the same district. I dont think any team has a decided advantage over the other two right now. Some comparisons:
Dutchtown has beaten EA 3-1 St Amant has beaten EA 5-3
Dutchtown: is 7-2-4, ranked 9th in Division I, 26 Goals for, 9 goals against, 8 shutouts. Record against 5A teams:2-2-3 Record against currently ranked LA teams in any class: 3-2-2 Last 5 games: 1-2-2
East Ascension: is 7-6-0 ranked #2 in Division II 28 goals for, 21 against, 5 shutouts Record against 4/5A teams: 3-4-0 Record against currently ranked LA teams in any class: 2-4-0 Last 5 games: 3-2
St Amant: is 8-2-3, currently unranked 45 goals for, 20 against, 6 shutouts Record against 5A teams: 2-2-1 Record against currently ranked LA teams in any class: 4-1-2 Last 5 games: 4-1
Next up is Dutchtown vs St Amant Jan 10 at The Pit. Dtown and STA are very similar teams and this should be a monster game. St Amant has attack, Dutchtown defense, and both strong in midfield. Dtown lacks finishing/scoring ability, St Amant has had shaky GK play and an inconsistent defense.
Common opponents for the 2: St Charles Catholic: DHS 3-0, St Amant 1-0 Central: DHS 6-0, St Amant 7-0 University: DHS 2-2, St Amant 1-1 East Ascension: DHS 3-1, St Amant 5-3
If comparative scores are any indicator--this game is going to be close! Should once again be a great match bewteen these two teams

STA EA and Dutchtown are all great teams. Any of these teams could beat one another if the other doesnt play its best. We will play Dtown twice this year and EA is the last game for us before the playoffs..so all of this will be settled before the end of the season
