EA 5-2 Tara has scored lots of goals against weak teams and jv teams.Any quality teams(few)that they scheduled and played they have not faired well.A good defense will shut down their offense ,since they are one dimensional.

I don't believe this game will be a blow out... It will a very good game!! EA needs to find a way to shut down Fred Parker... and Tara needs to find a way to crack EA defense! EA does not have any stand out player but a team loaded with talented players who play very well together... It will definitely be an interesting match up

i played against EA and Tara and both were good teams. Fred Parker was a really great player, but EA to me was a more complete team. So i think EA will pull it out 3-1

EA 4-3 Tara is only a 2 man team but will use Fred Parker to there advantage but EA takes this one

UGLY game... for both teams I thought! Probably the worst performance of the season for the Spartans and I'm sure Tara can play better than what they did this morning. Both teams were sloppy and both teams ended up with injured players (EA - Cesar Vallin with a concussion / Tara - Kyle Kling with a broken leg?)...
Maybe EA and Tara could play each other again... in the semis of this tournament OR in the second round of the playoffs (as long as EA and Tara win their respective district of course... and the season is far away from being over!!).

No need to make list or point finger, like I said before it was not a pretty game for either team!

I was there and there were plenty of cheap shots going on, not all EA's either. I guess it depends on who you were pulling for. It was not the beautiful game for sure. Tara has speed up front # 8 has more skills, They both looked out of time with the game, EA was watching the game allowed Tara to win most every ball and Tara was attacking the ball most game.

... and EA still found a way to win! Not all wins are pretty, some can be quite ugly

EA will not defeat Tara again. They played very dirty throughout the entire game. I'm shocked at # 32 from EA. I guess that's how they coach their boys at EA, because the coaches did not do him anything.

I guess that's how they coach their boys at EA, because the coaches did not do him anything. ... Mmmm some trash talking Interesting... BTW #32 did NOT play as he's out of town for the holidays! Now, if you're talking about #30... the whistle should have be blown way before he actually committed the foul on a Tara player as the same Tara player was committing a flagrant foul on him (... and this was confirmed by some refs watching the game from the stands). Why don't you talk about the EA player who had a concussion after a solid collision with the GK... or the EA sweeper who was ran over a few times by some players not even playing the ball... or the comment made by the Tara coach... I won't say it here, but that comment got him a yellow!! Now, DON'T COME on this site bashing the way EA coaches handle their players based on 1 game... as I'm sure you probably don't know very much about EA, their players or their coaching staff - ZHSCOACH - does that stand for Zachary HS coach... if it really does, let's not even go there ... but I highly doubted it, it's probably coming from a young player emotionally disturbed that EA beat his team... ... here take some Kleenex

Who cares about this game anyway, this is one of the worst tournaments in the state, other than St Amant and EA every team in this tournament is a joke.

I disagree, I think Tara, St Michaels and Lee are 3 solid teams in Division II, all part of the top 10 and contenders to the state title this year!

Nothing like smacktalk from a 1-11 team. WHAT?
EA beat Tara--thats it for now. If the tournament finds a way to get finished(which we are working on) then the remaining teams with advancement opportunites (oh yeah--Zachary isnt one of them) will have to worry about those games before seeing a EA-Tara rematch. I am buds with both coaches, and count players on both teams as friends of mine, including Zubia and Torres for EA and Parker for Tara. I would put my money on EA, strictly because of depth--EA has more quality players. Tara would have to get by Lee first, and EA would have to play against a ST Mikes team that beat them earlier in the year, so lets just leave our little fantasy game on the side till they actually play each other.
In the meantime, zhscoach, dont run smack on a team that your team has to play in district twice yet this year--thats dumb, and we have already seen what this kind of thing results in. You guys arent that good, and a quality side like EA would just LOVE some bulletin board material-not that they would need it. Just shut up and play your best, and maybe the Spartans will show ya'll some mercy.
