when we played deridder, we completely shut down alvais causing him to get frustrated and play terrible. he is not mature enough yet. def not the best player

you can do that to almost any player, especially by man marking them. The fact of the matter is, he has all the qualities to make a great player and lets face it, how many freshman DO have the maturity and ability to play at the best of their abilities all the time, he's a freshman. That's a rarity. No offense to michael as he is one of my really good friends but, in some of the games i watched, he made several mistakes due to lack of knowledge of playing a a sweeper and missed quite a few balls that really good teams could have capitalized on. Personally I do think he's better in goal but is a good player on the field too

we played in the beginning of the season and did not even know who alvais was. we did not man mark him, we played a great game and came out with the win. broadwell can play anywhere (defense and goalie as shown this season, and also has the moves, speed, and shots to play up top) but could alvais play defense?? probably not

Last game against ASH, Alvais probably had a 90% tackle success rating if anybody did stats, won the ball back more than any player, and usually built the attack when going forward, anybody will vouch for that. He did eveyrthing he was supposed to on both sides of the ball. If you only saw him at the beginning of the season when you played, then you neglect to acknowledge the fact that some players take longer to get going than others, and preseason games really don't mean much in the end of it all.

i watched the ash and derrider game.. austin and abram handled alvais.. the key to alvais is just pressure him.. he tries to cut too much.. just contain him and wait for the mess up.. don't stab

After playing on the field with Alvais, i don't think there's a person out there that can convince me that Alvais is a mature soccer player that composes himself well and plays on the same maturity level as seniors. But everyone who plays high school soccer knows that freshman don't possess those qualities! don't get me wrong here, freshman like Alvais can play great soccer and score the amount of goals he did. I just believe he is overrated. He has a lot of room to improve and a lot of time to do it in (like all freshman)

i think alvais is a soon to be best player but no where close right now, and he lacks sportsmanship which believe it or not is a factor. i believe michael broadwell is the best player in d2d2 whether it be on the feild or in the goal

alvais is not the best, thats it plain and simple. i know hes good, ive seen him play and played against him but not an all-around great player. if the ball is stolen from him (only when they are losing) he gives up and doesnt give the extra effort. in a couple years this will wear off and he will become a great player, maybe all-state (he has the talent). i look forward to watching him play in the future.
micheal just has the talent to do everything. yea ok he might not be awesome every game but who is?? he IS more consistent than most players i know altogether. alvais will have his chance for this "award" in the future, he just has to wait

agreed with esungoal, and stopper abram and austin are centermids not forwards and they did shut alvais down, Derrider has a strong program but its deffienetley not all Alvais

and stopper, if you were at the game you would have noticed alvais had little affect on the game.. the goals were a stupid free kick from 14, a chip that was supposed to be a cross from this young winger, and a shot that deflected off the sweeper from the stopper i think. but yeah alvais was shut down.
