Really really good game for ASH. Scored a goal about 5 minutes in from way out, lobbed the keeper. I think the last touch was from Austin Vidrine but not sure. Menard equalized through Juneau on a goal where the ASH keeper came out and collided with him but he still got his head on it. I think it was his 100th goal for Menard too. ASH then capitalized on a miscommunication between the menard sweeper and goalkeeper and had an easy tap in for Matt Chatelain to make it 2-1 at halftime. Menard came out really hard in the second half and their goal, although controversial was deserved. COrner came in and it looked as though the guy on the line cleared it, the linesman made no indication until very late that it went in, I still don't think it did but who knows. Menard then took the lead through a pretty good goal, cross came in and Juneau took it on a volley, right through the keeper's legs.
ASH battled back really well and had a long throw into the box and as the keeper came out to claim the ball, Chatelain snuck in to nod it past him with a header to tie it up again. From there it really was all ASH and the deserved winner came about 8 minutes from time if I recall, breakaway for ASH and I think it was Mason Vidrine that was fouled in the box and Michael Broadwell scored the resulting penalty kick to win the game. Chatelain jumped on another defensive error to complete his hat trick and seal the game 5-3. Really good game, ASH's Abrahm Ebersohn tormented the menard defenders all night with some nice footwork and penetrating through balls and Chatelain's work-rate up front proved killer. They play a really good passing game now and if they build and improve on this result I see them doing better than expected in the playoffs.
