it was due for the north to win 2 years ago when 3 northern teams all made it to the semi finals sadly though not even those powerhouse teams from shreve magnet or loyola could get the job done magnet doesnt have the size to compete with the jesuits or brother martins you can point fingers and say we beat them WHO ALSO beat another quality team so magnet did beat st. pauls but under tournament circumstances im not taking anyhting away from magnet but come playoffs it will be another jesuit lafaytte or brother martin or another powerhouse south louisiana team playing at indy

8 out of 10 games. I would put it the other way around except Lafayette which I have never seen play. However, Carencro, Acadiana and BM are very average teams and they could be beat not only by Caddo but many others also. Pay attention that 60% of Caddo starters are 15-16 year old players and sometimes that hurts them during tournaments or when they play the likes of Jesuit. It is like playing U16 v U18. Give these kids another year and you will see them run over anyone in LA. These year they can beat any team, any given day, but that depends on many things. My prediction is that they will win state at least once in the next 3 years. Give these kids another year and you will see them run over anyone in LA. What are you talking about, I haven't noticed the u16 being dominant in there age group. And just because school's like Jesuit, Lafayette and Brother Martin play mostly seniors doesn't mean their younger players are any worse, just that they have older and more experienced players to fill the spots. Next year Caddo will be more experienced but the other schools will reload again and I have a hard time believing that a school like Jesuit or Brother Martin will get ''run over'' by any team next year.

Obviously you've never seen the Shreveport United u16's play. Because they're good. Every one of them. The thing that set Magnet up for a good 4 years was acquiring their coach, Radi. 9 of his boys went with him. Add that to Nick Flowers, Spencer Inman, Adam West, and Micah Goodwin (all of whom start on the u18 Shreveport United team, which is undefeated in premier league play so far). Not to forget Mr. E J. So Caddo plays a bunch of sophmores. Next year they lose two seniors. Only 2. So you basically have the same starting lineup, two years on a row. If that's not enough time to gell, I don't know what is. You add size to the equation- everyone of the little guys gets bigger in a year. I realize everyone else grows at the same rate (as a whole), but the sophmores go from playing against people that outweigh them by 30 pounds to people their own size and height. We all realize that Jesuit is the favorite right now, and most all of us can agree its because of their depth of mature players. Well, as the younger guys get older.....there's alot of them....and they get more mature because they play people that are better than them.....it equals exactly what Jesuit has right now. Quality Depth.
Looking at Caddo's record, it's interesting. Two of their loses happened within 2 hours of eachother. I heard the Sulphur game was a shooting practice on the Sulphur goal, but they put theirs in Caddo's net when they got the chance (4 shots and 4 goals). Losing to Shreve is interesting too, because it happened right after their first loss of the season. Talk about a bad day. The loss to Jesuit is understandable (long long day). They're 4 and 0 in district, and actually only have to beat Byrd this thursday to win the district, which is very do-able.They have 54 goals for and 21 goals against. Seems like they score 2 for every one they let in. I wouldn't look down too badly in Caddo. It's not easy to get respect soccer-wise when you only have one good quality team to play (Shreve) for 150+ miles.

byrd and airline are respectable. and they are in your own town. st. freds won their tournament and arent bad. neville is a good young team in Division II. there are some decent teams up north. but not compaired to the teams south of shreveport. (where people actually have premier teams in most towns)

Those who say Caddo should be unranked, how about u give us some ranking... Anyone can say a team should or shouldn't be ranked, but actually ranking them and backing ur standings is a different story... I'd like to know that too. Being semifinalists, although one of favorites to win in the Sulphur tournament, winners of Parkway tournament, and finalists of St. Pauls tournament. After all is said and done, I say #5.

maybe i shouldnt be posting here because i am yet to see Caddo play, but ive seen sulphur and shreve play, and neither are very good... and if they cant beat shreve or sulphur with ease, no way should they be in the top 10...

Yea, making out of braket in 2 decent tournaments and winning one less than decent one shouldnt give one a ranking.

There are other Top 10 teams that have had bad days too- should they all be taken out also? Those two losses (Sulphur & Shreve) you mentioned happened on Caddo's bad day, and until they met Jesuit in their 3rd game in 7 hours that was their only bad day so far this season.

how will Caddo prove they deserve to be fifth by beating unranked Byrd??? I personally think Caddo deserves to be 7.....look at who they played in the St Pauls tourney they played Holy Cross(unranked), Baton Rouge(unranked), St Pauls this was a good win and then they played vandy(who has been beaten and killed by many ranked teams and barely squeak by them) and then they get manhandled by Jesuit and yes they can say they were tired but they didnt even come out and compete and Jesuit was tired also they played all their starters for 60 of 70 mins in the semis so i dont really see that as an exscuse

Jesuit had 25 people on their team........so they could of easily been rested for that game. They also pretty much dominated every team they played so it was not as much work as magnet had.

Vandebilt is better than most people think. Their rough schedule at the beginning led to them getting their butt kicked consistantly. However, it has made them better at the end. As their coach said, "If our hard schedule don't kill us, it will only make us better come playoff time." That is exactly what it did. Vandebilt is starting to click at the right time, before district to get themselves heading into the playoffs.

Most of you guys care way to much about these rankings that are put out on this site. Yes, its fun to check them when they come out, but don't take them so seriously. Everyone knows that the north louisiana teams will get little respect until they when in Feb. Every year Shreve and Magnet run through their district and have impressive records heading into the playoffs, but have not turned it into a championship. Even when we are close (Wimer's last year & the the exxxxxxxxtra time at Fontainebleau) we were considered lucky. All I can say is play soccer and win in the playoffs and all the posters in the south will eventually come around. Most of us don't care about who is getting their braces off and who will get their license next year. We are still playing this year. Save next year talk for March & beyond.
