Rescheduled game is going to be made up tomorrow night at Caddo Soccer. Whoever wins will take second place in district so it is a must win for shreve to salvage a dissapointing season or byrd to keep district title hopes alive.

doesnt byrd need to win one of two games (Magnet or Shreve) just to lock 2nd place?

that is assuming that they beat airline both times. so many make up games for Byrd!

Shreve has 3 district losses (Magnet twice and Byrd) and Byrd has 1 (Magnet). Shreve needs to win out (Byrd and Airline) and have Byrd lose to Magnet again. If they both finish with 3 losses it will come down to goal differential in their 2 games. Byrd is up by 1 goal now.
Looking at the brackets, I might rather be in 3rd place and most likely go play the district 2 winner. The second place team may very well get the District 3 3rd or 4th place team.

Byrd still has to play Shreve and Magnet one game each and if they win either of these they can lock up second, assuming they beat Airline twice and win the other remaining games. I would imagine Byrd is thinking win them all and tie for first in district.

I'm gonna call an upset here though... i say byrd loses to shreve and magnet but close games... beats airline once but loses once... giving shreve 2nd place

I dont see how anyone thinks that Byrd will lose to airline. the worst that could happen is a tie. the reason byrd lost during the parkway tournament was because of PKs . Airline plays with 10 defenders and 1 forward and there only chance of winning would be going into PKs

If Byrd doesnt win the airline game in regulation and OT then it has to go to PKs. There is no way for a tie

Byrd's schedule for the next ten days are games on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Monday plus a huge make-up game with Shreve still unscheduled. That's a lot of games to stay focused. Magnet tried it last year and couldn't do it - losing to Airline near the end of the stretch. Upsets become more probable in tight schedules like this.

haha good job noah...Airline's gameplan worked. when we played them, they practiced PKs before the game. no warm up, nothing. just PKs then packing the box during the game.
