I have played in these dist. games years ago, and for some reason, Jesuit somehow finds ways (sometimes with luck) to win. I'm a BM alum, but it seems getting lucky ("the better talented team didn't win") has not been the reason for Jesuit's wins this season. It will be close because these games usually are, but I think Jesuit will win. Because BM-Jesuit games are always so intense (both in district and in the playoffs), the only team that could take Jesuit to overtime and ultimately beat them would be BM. These kids not only know each other but play with each other on club teams. No other teams "know" Jesuit as well as BM or Rummel.

Jesuit will win this. BM has no shot. Jesuit will finish 1st in District, then Rummel and then BM.

Wasn't this game today? Anybody know the score? Actually, the game is Wednesday, 1/24 at 7 pm at Muss Bertolino Stadium in Kenner. This is where the Shell Shockers have been playing. Get off at Williams Blvd. exit 223A and go right until you get to 620 W. Esplanade Ave. Should be a great game, after the intense battle earlier this season between the two teams (at BM) and the playoff implications for BM especially. What a week of soccer...SPS @ FHS was a war! Then this can't-miss game between BM & Jesuit, followed by BM hosting Rummel on Saturday...I'm stoked to be able to see all 3 of these matchups, and you should make a point to attend these next 2 games between playoff-bound teams! Muss Bertolino Stadium is actually closer to the Loyola exit off I-10. Take Loyola exit & go north to W. Esplanade, take a right & look for the staium on your left (620 W. Esplanade)

I want to! But I live in Virginia now, so the only way I can get updates is from ya'll Thanks for the directions though, funny how I know exactly where you're talking about even though I haven't been down there in almost 10 years. Thanks again. Wasn't this game today? Anybody know the score? Actually, the game is Wednesday, 1/24 at 7 pm at Muss Bertolino Stadium in Kenner. This is where the Shell Shockers have been playing. im going to go against my judgement here and say brother martin 2-1 (OT), Brother Martin comes out hard and gets a goal in the 23rd minute. Jesuit dominates half but cant put one in. Jesuit scores early in the 2nd half, at the 44th minute, and ties it at 1-1. Jesuit dominates most of the end of the game but Brother Martin gets its chances. Overtime starts and is even until Brother Martin sneaks one in right before the end of the first overtime. Jesuit dominates most of 2nd ovetime but cant get one in.

Jesuit 4 BM 1
BM scored within 5 minutes, after that it was all Jesuit. It was 3-1 at half. Final was 4-1. Could of been much higher. BM's keeper saved them several times. Like I predicted, Jesuit dominated.

Good game, good crowd, good atmosphere, seemed almost like a playoff game. Like brsoccerla said brother martin scored a quick one but after that it was all jesuit. There were some great saves by both keepers but jesuit had so many great opportunities that they were able to put 4 in. The reall difference in this game seemed to be in the center midfield and in the backlines. Jesuit's center mids dominated the game and their defense was way better at dealing with threats and winning balls played in, especially headers.

Good summary. How did BM score in the first 5 min? Jesuit not focused?

1st 5 min.: BrM long ball up left side and forward slips it by Jes GK as he comes out.
Agreed that the difference was in midfield and especially back line for BrM. They appeared confused and overmatched by Jes front line.
Jes scores first two goals on set plays - poor setup and defense by BrM.
Jes last two goals on BrM defensive breakdowns.
A lot of "kickball" by both teams, probably due to small field at MB stadium. I wouldn't say that Jes dominated but they were the better coached team and team play was much stronger at the midfield positions. Jes GK had a couple of very good saves on BrM set plays. Result s/h/b 2-1 Jes.
