Not sure how you can say that. Didn't see the match last night but it sounds like Byrd should have been able to put that one away with a 2 goal lead and playing a man up. Shreve should have won the first Magnet - Shreve match, but couldn't put a ball into the net. In both matches Magnet found a way to win. They have proven to everyone that they are the best team up here this year. I'm not surprised they won the district but I am surprised that they are going to run the table and go 12-0. Congrats to the kids and their coach for a well deserved district title. As far as when the Shreve-Byrd match will be played. Shreve coach wanted to play Friday night but sounds like the Byrd principal vetoed that one. Shreve is now trying to set it up for Saturday if Airline will switch to play Byrd on Tuesday. Shreve would then play a doubleheader and play Southwood later Saturday afternoon. If all that falls through, they will play Tuesday at Indy.

Not sure which district you’re from claudio, but if you know anything about Div I District 1 (and you probably do since you brought up Shrevetimes.com) you know that this is not an easy one for any team. To go undefeated in this district means something. Shreve did it last year and may have gotten past the quarters with any kind of a break on travel (seems like they were going down to S. La every 4 days for all their playoff games). So far Caddo’s doing it this year, and last night’s game was a great indication why it’s so hard to do. Byrd wanted this game badly and they had the game plan and the right people on the field and maybe should have won it, but Caddo made adjustments and found a way. I could name 3 or 4 Caddo players who showed me something extraordinary last night that kept them alive to advance to the pks. Win or lose, games like this are worth their weight in gold for the individuals and the teams involved. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Airline pull another upset late in the season like they did last year (but this time it won't be Caddo - those games are in the book). Shreve is not last year’s team but they’ll have plenty to say in February. Looking at the top 10, you’ll see where #2 Carencro had to rally in OT to get past Sulphur recently and you’ll see where #3 Fontainebleau had to come from behind to beat St. Paul and barely get by Mandeville and Northshore in recent games. Those were all district games in districts with proud and capable teams, and when they play each other one could care less about the other’s state standing. As far as Caddo being overrated on the state level, I guess we’ll find out in February.

"Caddo overrated"
Caddo has three loses: Jesuit, Shreve, and Sulphur Caddo has some decent wins: Shreve (twice), St. Paul's, Vandebilt, Byrd (twice)
I think they've done well with the exception of the weird loss to Sulphur where they totally controlled the game.
Caddo has two wins over Shreve who tied Acadiana and Dutchtown so I think Caddo and Shreve have both proven they can play with some of the better south LA teams.

Claudio just likes causing contraversy. He has already posted fake scores on this bored, *sigh*. And there he goes taking my karma,

Punkaro, what's the line on the Shreve-Byrd game?
I think it's to close to call and will make for a great game.

Anyone have a game summary?

I'm guessing that airline played their pack the box defense and had no offense. Byrd couldn't find a way to get passed it and airline has a good keeper so they feel good about PKs. Two tough losses for Byrd in 3 days.

I think we need to worry more about Airline then Byrd

i watched a little of the game before my game started, each team had chances to score but both keepers played very well...the pk shootout was pretty good...very good saves by both of the keepers
