Carencro just went through the hardest district in the state with an undefeated record. They are the defending state champs.
Jesuit is 26-0, nationally ranked, and has allowed 4 goals (?) all season.
Who would you rank #1?

umm last time i checked Jesuit was 26-0 and Carencro was 18-2-4. Another thing why is District 3 the hardest district in the state?? District 9 is pretty tough itself the districts are identical except for the fact that District 3 has more teams.......so i think it would be the bigget showing of bias by any voter to vote Carencro #1 over Jesuit

Carencro, Lafayette, Acadiana.
But the district goes on. Comeaux is very solid. They are a borderline top 10 team. Barbe and Sulphur are good. New Iberia is always a tough game.
District 3 is the SEC of LA prep soccer.

carencro and jesuit should both be ranked #1..cro is the defending state champs. and jesuit is undefeated allowing few goals all season and to top it all off they are nationally ranked. but cro won state last year so thats y i think they should be tied at #1.

Carencro is not even in the same league as JESUIT. JESUIT is so far ahead of them it is ridiculous.

yeh even though they won state last year..that is LAST YEARS team..you cant compare them to the jesuit of this year..and you cant put them at #1 just because they won state last year its a different team this year

ok... this is j/ my opinion, WHEN YOU ARE RANKED 3RD IN THE NATION, WHY SHOULD CARENCRO BE RANKED IN FRONT OF JESUIT??? and they are undefeated, and have played very tough games, even though Carencro's district is very tough, I think Jesuit has played a harder schedule than them. So until Jesuit (the 3rd best team in the whole entire nation) loses to Carencro, i dont think they should be ranked ahead of them

Having seen both teams play recently I think there's still a big difference between Carencro and Jesuit in a couple of areas. I watched the Cro-Lafy game Friday and felt that they were fairly evenly matched. But you have to hand it to Cro for doing what they've done this year in the toughest* district in the state.
*Using flat3's power rating and calculating the average rating for each district's top four teams. (Div I current top districts are D3, D9, D5, D4, D1. In Div II it's D2, D1, D3, D4, D5. Div III is D4, D3, D6, D5, D2)

At this point I can't see how you could rank Carencro over Jesuit.. I haven't seen Carencro play, but I have seen Jesuit play, and their results certainly reflect the way they have played. We're talking about a team that isn't just undefeated, but has allowed only 4 (?) goals all season. Could Carencro beat Jesuit? I don't know. Regardless, I can't fathom why Carencro would replace Jesuit, especially after Jesuit convincingly beat Brother Martin. Keep Jesuit at #1 until there's a reason to rank them lower.

who cares about ranking right now, i know i don't!! we will find out soon enough who the best is.
Can cro beat jesuit, YES. it would be an upset in my book simply because of jesuits defence. no one has found a way to score on them and i think their defence knows who to mark when they play cro. i'll be pulling for whoever is playing against jesuit. i respect jesuit a lot but they have been a thorn in dist 3 side for many years so i pull for everyone who plays them. i hope jesuit fans take that as a compliment, because it is.

Being from Brother Martin, I don't like Jesuit but I do respect them and there is no way Carencro should be mentioned in the same breath as Jesuit. BM played Car. earlier this year and tied 1-1. BM controlled the first half. The second half BM subbed 8 or 9 players. I'm guessing to get experience for the bench players. I felt BM was the better team, but the game did end in a tie. BM played Jesuit twice. The first game Jesuit won 1-0. It was a very intense and well played game. Jesuit scored in the first half. BM had several excellent chances to score, but couldn't convert. Without looking at the score this game was a draw. The second game BM scored early, but it was all down hill after that. Jesuit dominated the game. Jesuit takes the field every game and expects to win. I think Jesuit can be beat, but it will take a mentally tough team to do it. Most teams facing Jesuit have lost the game before it even starts from a mental aspect. Good luck to any team facing Jesuit the top half of the bracket.

I think timeaus started this poll to make the playoffs a little more tense.
I vote no carencro shouldn't be ranked higher than them b/c of the obvious facts. But i think when the season started....week one...carencro should of been ranked higher than them. and not ranked 8th. thats stupid. I've never seen ohio state ranked 8th after they won the national championship.
But I will say. Its playoffs, rankings don't matter. I believe a team may be better. But I also believe in destiny. I think carencro is that team. Last year they pulled it out to show everyone who they were. (but still convinced noone) this year they are proving it, they are the team of destiny. Its easy to beat a team, but its hard to beat a team that is destined to win.
Thats my belief... sorry. My vote always goes to the team that wants it more.Therefor the win is meant to be for them.

Used to be a BM player, and Jesuit has this aura around them every time we played like they did come out expecting to win. They have always had a psychological edge over any team in state because THEY ARE JESUIT. Looks like this year they also have the best talent in state. Even though Jesuit has beaten teams that have had better talent in past years because of this mental image, this year is not the case. When you mix that mentality in with the best talent in the state, there is probably only two teams that can ultimately beat them (beacsue they could possibly have a mental edge over them) in state: the TWO teams, Laffy and Fontainebleu, that beat them in the playoffs last year. Although the talent might not be the same, there is probably still a mental image in some players minds from last year that COULD haunt Jesuit. ...By the way, they are not ranked 3rd in the nation. They are ranked 3rd out of Cali., Tex., La., Miss., Ala., Fla., etc. The northern teams don't play until spring. Not to knock Jesuit or anything because they are the best team in state, but when you play in Dist. 9 against them especially on a team like BM, you hate them because they are always just a little bit better than you. I come from BM, so I know how frustrating that can be to have a better talented team than Jesuit, but lose the mental game and ultimately lose the actual game. We have to do it twice a year.

Who came up with this question? Seriously? I know playoffs are approaching and some of us are trying to stir up that pot already, but man you gotta know the difference between talking soccer and talking nonsense. Their is no logical evidence supporting a vote for Carencro over Jesuit. Now that being said, can Carencro beat them. You are WHO DAT right they can. Reason being, well talent being one thing. SoccerJunky said it best though. Jesuit takes the field every game and expects to win. I think Jesuit can be beat, but it will take a mentally tough team to do it. Most teams facing Jesuit have lost the game before it even starts from a mental aspect. Guess who else goes in to each game expecting to win. Yea the State Champs are pretty stingy when it comes to that.
