depends on the level of competition played. if it is a weak team you are playing, let the starters get a run around for about 20 mins, then let backups play. if it is a good team, play the starters for most of the game and throw in the subs. they need to play good comp a week before playoffs, and the subs need to be exposed too.

I think that depends on the team and their situation. If the team is like us...and has had a bad run in the last few games with 4, 1 goal losses that could have went either way then you might want to play the extra game to help sort out lineup issues and possibly help yourself with some positive momentum leading into your playoff game.
