Good observation. In D-1, the only reason why all top 11 ranked teams are not still in the playoffs after the first round is because #3 played #5 and #6 played #4--somebody had to lose.

Heading into quarters, pretty good so far for D3. Higher ranked teams win with exception of St. Freds (vs. UHigh).

D1 poll is holding to form as well.
1. Jesuit (9) 99 (26-0-0) 2. Carencro (1) 91 (18-2-4)
3. Fontainebleau 79 (18-2-1) Lost to #5 Brother Martin 4. Lafayette 68 (15-5-4) 5. Brother Martin 59 (14-3-8)
6. Caddo 48 (21-3-1) Lost to #4 Lafayette 7. Acadiana 38 (15-6-3) 8. Catholic BR 31 (14-3-4) 9. Rummel 25 (13-9-2)
10. Captain Shreve 10 (17-5-2) Lost to #8 Catholic BR
Only unranked St. Pauls made it into the quarterfinals and they were ranked most of the year.
Quarterfinal Matchups are:
#4 Lafayette vs #2 Carencro #1 Jesuit vs #5 Brother Martin #7 Acadiana vs #8 Catholic BR #9 Rummel vs unranked St. Pauls
Only Fontainebleau lost to a lower seeded team, but I don't think any of us can really call that an upset. Brother Martin is a very good team that easily could win the title.
