Went to this game, both teams played well, and I have to say that Woodlwan never quit, but Carencro was just stronger, more organized and played team ball better. Woodlawn is young, goalie is a freshman, and I think that their program is advancing. They just ran up against a seasoned team that just created a few more opportunites and finished on those opportunities.

decent game that was 2-1 at one point in the second half. wasn't very impressed by carencro. they played a lot of kickball with woodlawn. they have very good touch but they don't seem to move the ball around too well. they are very good at getting into the corners and crossing the ball and they are very good at shooting and finishing. MATT GAVIN scored the lone goal for woodlawn but they just couldn't hang with cro bc of their lack of offensive talent.

Carencro is very organized and tried to put the game on cruise control when up 2-0, but slipped up and allowed a goal. At that point they turned the intensity up again and put it out of reach.
Moments of brilliance from Marcus up top. Some nice sequences on the ball. Two very nice set ups for a shot on goal and the teammate just wasn't ready...one sequence he takes the ball out of the air on his foot from a 30 yard pass in the air holding two defenders on his back and turns and splits them..draws in the last defender and then lays it off for his teammate...who wasn't able to finish...very nice play. Marcus could probably try out for any squad in the state and stand a good chance of playing.
On the other side of the ball....Trevor looked as if he made his mind up to score when it was 2-1...starts on the left side of the goal...about 20 out..dribbles across the top of the 18..completely to the other side of the box...draws in two defenders...then splits them...and puts it on frame...and a teammate finished the rebound.

Goals by Cro: Corey Hebert, Chase Talley, Scott Rogers(2)
1st goal was from a throw in and Corey Hebert trapped it, beat a defender and slipped it in 2nd goal was a cross from Corey Hebert to Chase Talley who headed it in 3rd goal was from Scott Rogers who barely passed it by the keeper(unassisted i think) 4th goal was from Scott Rogers with a volley (unassisted)
