wait Fred Parker didn't score 4 or 5 goals at this game??? oh i see Pineville is a real team, i guess anyone can put up 47 goals against any easy team. I wonder how many goals you have, i bet you it's not 47. Even if you are a player. You might be just some random guy that has nothing better to do than to dis other people. Fred is a quality player but even those kind of players dont score every game. cristiano7 you would never beable to match up to fred. I sense a little jealousy. haha

Parker had a hat trick against St. Amant, Woodlawn, and Episcopal if I'm not mistaken.
Throws your theory out of the window, kid.

Cristiano, I am shocked to see you write something like that about Parker. Fred Parker has worked harder than he has ever worked before. To score 47 goals took hard work every time this kid took to the field! Every player/forward in and out of Tara’s district had the same chances to score. Every team that Tara played this year has been real. Some were just better than others. I wish Tara would have played your team Cristy , I'm sure 5 goals would not have been a problem! Go back and do your homework, Parker scored on just about everyone Tara played. Only a few teams got away, very few! To call all the teams that Tara has played this year easy, well that is just disrespectful. Tara played very good games against very good teams. (Tara Trojans soccer) Parker is a class act. Job well done!!!! 47 goals wow

To ConnectGame, Fred played against Dutchtown Jv team and he didn't do anything because he was shut down by a freshman, a JV team, come on, a big problem that fred has is that people can get in his head too easy,

I'll preface my statement by saying, "Fred Parker, is a great player...he'd start on my team without a problem."
It just gets old that every one of his buddies think they have to keep propping him on here. He doesn't need it. You don't have to throw a number out there to "make" the guy good. The numbers mean nothing. How many of the 47 goals were in these games? Nov 18 Tara 7, West Feliciana 2 Nov 21 Tara 8, Central 0 Tara 11, Zachary 0 Dec 4 West Feliciana 3, Tara 2 Dec 9 Tara 4, Zachary 0 Dec 15 Tara 8, Redemptorist 0 Dec 22 Tara 11, Catholic-PC 0 --Tara 4, Central 0 Jan 10 Tara 5, Broadmoor 1 That's 60 goals scored by Tara against less than average teams...how many were Fred's?
If you throw a number out there to "Make" him good then you set yourself up for everyone shooting him down. It's not necessary.
HE'S good ANYONE who knows anything about soccer KNOWS he's good. WHAT MAKES HIM GOOD is not the number...it's his impact on the field...let that speak for him and stop feeling like you have to defend him everytime some John Doe says something stupid.

Vandy likes to move the ball around. They are a possesion team. They will score. Pineville thrives on the counter. They have size and speed. Tara's D is not bad, but they were no match for Pineville's size. The field is small and that will play to Pineville's advantage. It's hard to pass on a field that has been chopped up pretty good and Pineville's is like most fields around the state, pretty chopped up. They got up on Tara early, played it smart by extra manning on Parker and packed the defense in. You have to give them credit. They used their size to their advantage offensively, shut down Tara's midfield which in essence shut down Tara's lone striker attack. For Parker to have 47 goals in a season playing in a 4-5-1 formation as a lone striker is phenomenal especially when he is actually a midfielder on his premier team. Vandy should win, but anything can happen.

first off, i saw fred parker play against pineville the other day and he was great but... what pitchstalker said is right. taking nothing away from what parker has done, but a tremendous # like that was probably misleading. he had to have scored a lot of goals against lower teams (A LOT), making his overall goal count misleading because if he had played 25 quality teams he would have closer to 25 or 30 goals. (which, i know, is still pretty good). but seriously, i saw him play and though he was great, pineville still shut him down from scoring. if he can't score against pineville's defense at least once, how can he score hat tricks every other night

Pineville had a better game plan. Pitchstalker I agree with some of what you have sayed in the past and a few days ago. Just let parker play and leave him alone! He dosen't need any more hype saying that he is good . We know this! The defenders that pineville put on Parker did a good job. But lets be real about a few things. Its hard to score one goal if a defender is good, even harder with three defenders sometimes four. No one has played against 25 quaility team, And no player scores a hat trick every night. Good luck to all the remaining teams!
