What I meant was that the second Ram goal was scored by Giron, not that he scored two goals himself.

Anyone have a decent game summary? Who controlled the game? Were both offenses creating a lot of opportunites? Did one team just not finish well? etc.

this is how i saw it. the team with the wind dominated play. in the first half catholic had the wind and they moved the ball very well. there goal was a beautiful header off of a corner. one of the best i've seen this year. the rams pretty much played kick ball trying to get the ball out of their defensive thrid. the second half was just like the first but it was acadiana dominating play. both teams played well and it was a fairly clean game. some pushing and shoving from both teams but nothing to serious. the rams soccered on a great conner kick and actually had two other great opportunities to score all in the final two minutes. the rams scored in the second overtime and the wind had a part in it as well. the rams played against the wind but put a shot on goal that looked like would go over the net, but the wind held it up and it dropped in. the rams defense took over then and they held on for a very good hard fought win. congratulations to catholic on a great season, ya'll played a great game.
GOOO RAMS!!

Congrats to the Rams. Would like nothing better than a Carencro - Acadiana final next Saturday at Indy. Throw in the Lafayette girls, Teurling boys and the St Louis boys and girls and next weekend will really have a Cajun flavor to it!!

Goatman, What is it with the wind when Catholic and Acadiana play each other in the playoffs. This seems eeriely like the game three years ago (I know the teams are different, but the conditions and the score difference seem to be similar) Also, did anyone notice that the home team in Division I won all four games in the quarterfinals and Catholic High lost for the 4 or 5 year in a row to a District 3 team on the road???

i was thinking the same thing last night spectator. i enjoyed the game but i think everyone there would say the wind hurt the quality of the game. both teams play hard and had good fan support. i had the pleasure of seating next to some very loud catholic fans and i have to say it made the game more exciting. we jabbed at each other back and forth but it was all in fun. good luck to cathlic next year. oh by the way i was talking to some of the football coaches and they thought it was scary that acadiana is playing a lot of the same teams in the soccer playoffs as they did in football. (catholic and st pauls). i hope the results are the same.
