sounds like somone is jealous schmidt is getting all of this attention. he did play jv for most of the season where he was player of the year and finally got moved up to varsity where he has shown his dominant soccer skills. How many times r we gonna have to say it, " he finds feet" that kind of player is hard to come by and st pauls was lucky to find this jewel of a player that tim carty produced. Just remember this alumniguy st pauls wasn't winning every game during the season and when schmidt joined magically they start winning and dominate teams...coincidence i think not, i think u should go give schmidt a hand shake and thank him for all the success st pauls is having in the playoffs WU TANG ARFF ARFF

Very good points lvrpoolfan13. In fact, I think the main thing that Will Schmidt has contributed to this team (aside from his athleticism) is the fact that he can put the ball to feet, creating quick transitions. I mean the kid is not afraid to shy away from contact and made several bone-crunching tackles last night, leaving his body out to dry on a few of them. He is an absolute stud. I'm curious to know why alumniguy doesn't think he is any good. Have ever seen him play?

Perhaps it is not a question of liking or disliking, perhaps we are wondering whether lvrpoolfan13 is Schmidt's agent.....

Haha, I can assure you that Will Schmidt doesn't have an agent, but he may have a handful of offers from some top notch college scouts if they happen to attend the State Championship and Schmidt is playin in it. You simply can't account for a kid with 4.4 speed on the pitch in high school. Combine that with a 39" vertical and you have one of the most athletic kids in the state, in any sport, not just soccer.
