I think too much attention has been focused on the top bracket way too much since the plaoffs started.
Same thing last year... Jesuit and Lafayette (blabla whos better??)_...Then Carencro from the bottom part of the bracket snuck in there and won.
In the past 5 minutes I've started getting this weird feeling in my gut that Acadiana is bound for Championship ring. Along with the football team. Their season is reminding me exactly of Carencro's last year. Carencro started playing good ball but couldn't get past lafayette. Got on the other side of the bracket and went to the finals.
Acadiana started playing good ball, couldn't get past Cro but is on its way to sneaking into the finals on the other side of the brakcet
hmmmmmmmmm.....

yea but you are forgetting one thing....
You didn't beat LHS who won that match against jesuit.
refresh my memory but what was the aggragate of the two district games between Carencro and Lafayette last year? 10-0?
Thats why so much emphasis was put on that game.
District 3 was much more wide open this year. Thats why you can make an argument for acadiana to beat cro if that was the scenario in the finals, but i dont think cro would've pulled it out last year without that turn of fortune.
However, i do believe that if cro and somehow get by jesuit, they will win state. They beat acadiana twice, even when acadiana may have played better soccer. They would find a way to do it. And they would beat St. Paul's b/c other district beside 3 or 9 has won the title in a very long time and it will stay the same.
With that being said, Jesuit is still the best team in the state and i think cor is the only team that will give jesuit a run. Thats why so much emphasise has been put on this game rather than the cro st. paul's game.

I'm going to have to disagree with you zzxxvvbb for a couple reasons, but before i list them i want to make clear that this is in no way me disrespecting Acadiana. They are a solid team playing excellent ball and deserve everything they achieve. That being said, the reason i disagree with you comparing them to Cro's run in the playoffs last year is because if you recall Carencro was supposed to lose their first playoff game along with 3 of the next 4. Acadiana, however, came in to this years playoffs as the favorite to advance from their bracket. So they can't really be underdogs sneaking their way in to the finals like Carencro did. Also the teams Acadiana has and will have to face aren't near the caliber of those Cro beat last year. Again that's not downplaying Acadiana's accomplishments. Those are good teams they beat. But i'm pretty sure everyone on this site will agree with me that Dutchtown, Ruston, Catholic of B.R., and St. Pauls aren't quite on the same level as Caddo, Acadiana, Brother Martin, and Fountainebleau. Lastly, Carencro scored 13 goals throughout the playoffs against top notch opponents last year. Thus far, Acadiana only has 4 on what many would consider weaker opponents. That's why i disagree with u. Now all that being said, i will definately be pulling for Acadiana. As usual yall have well represented District 3 and i for one am proud to say that a win against St. Pauls will be one of the craziest accomplishments i have ever witnessed. Reaching the state finals in both football and soccer. Wow!!!!
