Now that the state champions have been determined (congrats Jesuit on the perfect year and St. Paul on making a great playoff run), who do you guys think SHOULD make an all-state team (I say should because as most of you know, there have been many times over the past couple of years when some players make an all-state team over a much more deserving candidate).

I think Jesuits team should be the all-state team. 1st and 2nd team

You're right --the best players don't always make state. I'm afraid politics and reputation sometimes get in the way of the choosing the best athletes. I'm curious to see what names have been put out there.

Well Mullins gave up like two goals all year so I would give him first team, and the defense deserves a lot of credit particularly Jordan Bourgeois.

Jesuit gave up 3 goals (2 to Rummel & 1 to BM) with the starting line-up & keeper in.
There are 4 great defenders who work together well with Mullins to give Jesuit the defensive “WALL” that almost no one was able to get past this year. Congrats on a great year to Andrew Mullins (GK) , central defender Jordan Bourgeious (10), central defender- Jack Quinn, (14) fullback--Jeff Bertel (25) and fullback Andrew Pratt (6). All of these players were a critical part of Jesuit’s defense in conjunction with the midfield.
Although it must be a luxury to be on a team with such talent and depth, the downside is that the bench also holds many talented players. Many of these young men who seldom saw the field would have been starters at other schools. Hats off to those boys who have supported your teammates all season. I look forward to seeing you play Club in the months to come. It will again be your time to shine.

I really want to see how many keepers get picked. Thats tough choosing if only two were to be picked

okay. well obviously you have not seen Brennan Kilpatrick then. I play with Andre and Mullins but still acknowlege that Kilpatrick is still up there with them.
I also traveled to the Carencro vs Jesuit playoff game and saw Rosser. wasnt entirely impressed but the competition and the weather probably had a large impact on his play

i've played against kilpatrick, rosser, mullins, and andre and they are all fantastic keepers, i think kilpatrick would probably be 4th on that list and the top 3 would be too hard to determine

I think Josh Beason and Matt Labat are defantly worthy on their nominations although they come from a district that is weaker than the rest. They truly provided some entertainment and made soccer interesting in their respective district.
