tough can mean 2 things. tough as in the skill of the teams in that district, or toughest schedule to get through. District 10 with rummel, bro martin, and jesuit is no doubt the district with the most talented teams. If you go by the toughest schedule to get through, id have to go with district 7. 14 district games give you plenty of chances to lose and there is no team that is always destroyed by the others anymore.

Dist 6 with the 3 Ascnesion teams, and Destrahan, if RB can get his HS players to play soccer year round. Same for Hahnville. I can remember when Hahnville was a very good team and had the all state sweeper.

I can remember when Hahnville was a very good team and had the all state sweeper. I think this district will be the most evenly contested. All six teams in this district made the playofs this year(the only district at any level to have this happen.) East St John will be down a bit, but the other 5 should make for a pretty even set of matches night in and night out.

the best dist was split in half so the best dist next year will be dist 10. the two new dist. 3 and 4 will both have two top notch teams and 2 other competitive teams in there dist. look for acadiana and stm to shine in dist 3 and cro and lafayette in dist 4. the state title will still go through dist 10 or 3,and 4. some thing never change, just the dist. numeric classification.

word from the AD at Destrehan ---given to the rest of the boys coaches in the new district 6 prior to our scheduling meeting last week---is that he is replacing his boys soccer coach.

Hmmmmmm.........lets see, who could that be? Bruno Van Moer and Boo Ruiz from EA just got done playing for a state championship--things are going well for the Spartans, so it isnt them. Larry Chambless (aka Pitchstalker) is planning next years tournament, and while Dtown had a lesser year than is their standard, they were still strong and did well, so it isnt him. Rafael deVega is an icon at Hahnville, and they won a district championship this year, so hes not going anywhere, Paul Dupuis just guided his team to the playoffs with a strong run and is also the girls coach at ESJ, so it isnt him, and RB is gone at Destrehan, so who exactly does that leave?
Oh my gosh---ME! Only coach not mentioned in that list is Ray Linton (aka coachray40) from St Amant. Well, lets put the so-called "rumor" to rest because I'm not leaving either. Our season this year was at times difficult, and we did have to deal with some unfortunate circumstances. That being said, we ended our season on a very good note, grew as a team, and are looking forward to next season.

RB is returning to New Jersey when the premier season ends because of personal reasons with his family. He is not being replaced by the AD. The position has to be filled because of his move.
