DII Coaches,
I can only write for myself but I am sure that I share this sentiment will all STM parents in extending a thanks for recognizing our boys for post season honors. We as parents were as devastated by the DQ as our kids. The boys showed great character in handling the tragedy. Because of their early exit from the playoffs it would have been understandable if they were forgotten, but you didn't forget all that they had accomplished during the season. For that I thank you.
This was a special team because they played soccer as a team. There were several excellent soccer players but no superstar. Everyone did their job. No red cards this year and I'd say no more than 5 or 6 yellows. Naming Adam (my son) MVP is really a team honor because he is representative of the effort put in by the kids on the team. For those players around DII that might question the MVP choice, you should know that he lives, breathes and sleeps soccer. Not a day goes by that he does not touch a soccer ball. My front yard is proof enough. He works very hard on his foot skills (his juggling record is over 1100). He can run 2 miles right at 10 minutes and one mile under 5 but most importantly he has maintained a grade point average above a 3.1 and has met the ACT standard. With this recognition his hard work has begun to pay off. Now, if only he'd finish a merit badge and a service project to become an Eagle Scout.

soccerjunqie,
Like I said in the other thread, he was the best I had seen this season in DII by far. That is why I voted for him for both district MVP and State MVP. Thank God we don't have to face him twice in district play next season. Good luck next season!
Before anyone jumps on me, we did not play EA, Vandy, Ben Franklin, Tara, Lee and a few others who may argue this fact. But of all the teams that we played this season, STM was the best team that I had seen and Adam was the best playmaker/all around player I had seen.

take into consideration the quality of the teams you beat to get there, and the 3-0 and 8-0 losses and its seems kinda fairer

It's "Rooty Tooty Fresh N' Fruity", but no matter how you spell it, it all tastes the same.
