Should be very interesting to see who is ready to step up ( for both teams ), and who isn't. 1st half usually is the expected starters, 2nd half is the sub's opportunities. Will be a great early test, kudos to the 2 programs for setting this up.

St. Louis varsity wins 3-1 and looked in control for the entire game. LHS J.V. wins 1 - 0 and they dominated the game.

One unassisted goal by Michael Lapira in the second half, preceeded by goals by numbers 13 and 19 for StL in the first half. Don't know their names, but 19 is fairly big, pretty strong and very fast. Definately a player to watch. Lafayette goal came in the first half from Juan "Buzz" Ochoa.

I think it was a very good game. Score in no way relfects the game. LHS had a missed p.k and spoiled many oppurtunities. St.Louis was mostly a flick and run kind of team and not to take anything away from st.louis but 2 goals were from stabbing and the third was pretty lucky. LHS controled the ball very well and st.louis did a very good job of countering. I don't know about st.louis but lhs went in there with not working on any offense wat so ever. Mostly working on shifting of the defense. I think LHS did a very good job on what they were working on and is looking to expand and add offense into the attack. Good job both team. Looks like both teams will do very well this year.

Maybe LHS will stop being so cocky now. I know they can play better than that.

soccerstud00. do you play for LHS?... but you can say LHS dominated possesion, but saint louis had more chances easily. also i didnt know following up a shot was considered a lucky goal

Does anyone know how many players St. Louis is missing? I watched the game tonight and if they are missing players, they will win state again. Very good team. They had possesion for 65% of the game.
I know LHS is still missing some players. LHS is young this year. It will be a challenge to see if they can be the LHS team that we have known for the last several years.
Good luck to both teams this year.

St.Louis was mostly a flick and run kind of team and not to take anything away from st.louis but 2 goals were from stabbing and the third was pretty lucky. Wow, so their goals weren't good because LHS's defense stabs at the ball? Maybe their goals were good and LHS's defense isn't? Just sounds pretty dumb to use stabbing as an excuse.

LHS isn't that young, mostly seniors and juniors. They're just inexperienced.
