Dumb results. The completely unbiased poll is...
1) jesuit 2) stm 3) caddo magnet 4) lafayette high 5) brother martin 6) acadiana 7) carencro 8) st pauls 9) catholic of br 10) rummel
But... LHS will win state. Mighty Lions Mighty Lions Mighty _____ Lions.

Whoever was involved in making this poll must not know about the talents at these schools and whats going on. Acadiana is missing one player thats at caps, one doesn't have the grades, one just recently quit and one tore his acl in football. Two of the best forwards in the state, my opinion there best defender and a top all around player. So Acadiana can't be ranked that high no more. Also Lafayette high isn't returning many starters but we are returning alot of players that came in when our seniors were struggling and turned the game around. Also how is caddo that high? when they lost first round of play offs to lafayette high>?

I totally agree with soccerstud00. How is magnet ranked so high? I also think Captain Shreve should be in the top 10. They are loaded with talent.

I'm not sure exactly where Magnet should be ranked. They did lose to Lafayette in the first round of the playoffs (third overtime). However, Magnet did have wins against St. Paul's and Vandebilt. They won their district with a 12-0 record and probably the biggest plus is they only lost two seniors. They should be really good this year but they still need to prove themselves come playoff time.
It seems like there's going to be several teams that will be highly competitive.

Actually soccerstud Acadiana still be a force to be reckoned with. Acadiana is getting the caps player back in December and the one with the grades back January 1. One of them will be back before district even starts. The one who would have torn is acl would have been on the field anyway because they have another goalie who was taking his place. They still have a strong defence, they lost only 1 player from last year, which proved themselves against Teurlings giving up 2 shots and an own goal (early jitters and their starting keeper was not there for that game yet).

Saints are better than Falcons, Falcons are better than Tampa Bay, yet Saints lose to tampa bay twice, but beat the Falcons twice. In fact the Falcons beat Tampa twice... Comparisons like this don't always make since...

Who votes in this poll? That might xplain the suckyrankings. I usually vote, didn't this weekend. However, if you would visit here often, you would know that its members of this board that chose to vote, and in fact they have asked for new voters. Perhaps instead of people complaining, some need to step up and vote for themselves. Or maybe perhaps take the time to put all the rankings together a couple hours a weekend. Oh, wait, complaining is a lot easier and only takes a few minutes. Thats right.

im pretty sick of everyone crying over the polls.... its just to give an example on whose good... if teams are a little low or high they will get put where they should be after they prove themselves.

The point of the preseason polls is entirely to get people talking about high school soccer again. It looks like it's starting to work. If you hadn't noticed, it was pretty quiet in here for the past 7 months.
As the season progresses, the polls will reward teams for their accomplishments.
