The rummel coach called off the team because there was no one else to coach the squad once he got the red card for telling the ref that the ref was doing a good job (sarcastically) but you can't get thrown out for sarcasm last i checked..... so please (chosenone) get your story right before assuming things about the game.... niether team was in danger it was a hard fought match and the ref could not keep up with the speed or physical play and the rummel coach did not think that his team was in danger he wanted to the team to con't to play but he simply had to coach to take over for him... thats the real story

EPLFAN I didn't understand a part of the end of your post. Can you re-try...Also if there wasn't another coach to take over then who was that other adult on the sideline. Why couldn't he allow his team to play the game without a coach? Do you really need a coach to play soccer? My story is straight. I was at the game and those were the things I witnessed.

elpfan19 was there as well. Trust me, you didn't have a better perspective than he did.
As far as the matchup, very even. Two strong, very physical teams. Rummel had more shots on goal, the Acadiana keeper did a good job. The Acadiana goal came on a corner kick, bounced around in front of the goal and went in.
A Rummel player was red carded and they played short for a little while, still seeming to hold their own. I think the Rummel D played well. If there is a rematch, I would not want to predict a winner, We should still be discussing both of these teams come February.

The other adult on the sideline was the assissitant coach but a team needs a faculty represenative to be on the sideline the assissitant coach is not a faculty rep. so that is why the rummel team had to be pulled off the field

Thank you for clearing that up. I have no hard feelings against Rummel, I want you to understand that, I think they are a quality team, and have a good attack but they still have some things to work on, but still a dangerous team.

This Faculty Rep thing....is that a Rummel school rule ? I don't think that it is an LHSAA rule.

I thought A CECP certified coach could handle the team without a faculty rep? If this person was not a faculty rep and not CECP certified who were they??

If the coach is CECP certified but is not a faculty at the school then you need a faculty rep at every game.

If the coach is CECP certified but is not a faculty at the school then you need a faculty rep at every game. That is not true. Since Rummel was not the home team, they do not have to have a school rep. The HOME team is the only team that has to have a school rep at the game. So just face it, the Rummel coach was not happy with the referee and he took his team off.
