They played at the Bayou Black Field in Houma! Vandy was winning 1-0 at half. Figures, that field doesn't have the best lighting, surprised they are playing there. Then again, where else would they play, Vandy, Terrebonne, and Central Lafourche tracks are all in the process of being redone.

well played game.. and enjoyable to watch... but neither team looked to much like their teams of the past... but that is somewhat to be expected

Jesuit was missing 5 starters for the start of the game and came out with a sloppy start and Vandy capitalized. The rest of the first half was back and forth. The second half was very foggy and there wasn't great play from either team, but the ball remained in Vandy's half for about 95% of the half. Jesuit was only able to capitalize one time due to some poor finishing.

I was at the game last night; as in Hideki's post, Jesuit sat 5 starters for the first 20 minutes or so for arriving late. Vandy came out of the gate quick and put pressure on Jesuit's back line, getting two or three good shots on goal, one of which they capitalized on.
Once Jesuit's starters got in the game changed very quickly, with Jesuit maintaining possession and putting constant pressure on Vandy. Vandy only had one other shot on goal in the game, coming off a long ball played into the box that got past the goalie but was cleared by the center back.
The Vandy goalie was very good under pressure, and had an excellent kick, consistently putting the ball past mid-field with his punts.
Jesuit definitely has had trouble finishing so far this year, and if they don't get it sorted out shortly, they will eventually wind up on the losing end of one of these unnecessarily close games.
