Your right putmeincoach Don't understand a lot of things but I'm not the coach and i'm sure he had his reasons. Maybe just trying to save his starters for district.

thats right, the terrebonne team that played in the final was a completely different team than the one that played in the morning game against STA, also STA used a different keeper in the final than they had in the first 3 games

i didnt see the final game but i know the keeper STA had against HLB wasnt that good...it seemed hard to get him to come out and when he actually did, he was running to the sidelines

well soccerfreak7 that goalie held each team to only one goal, not to mention he isnt actually a goalie, he is a field player and only plays goalie when our 1st and 2nd string goalie cant play, we had our freshman goalie, our 4th string goalie, in during the final game, it changed everything, if you were there you could tell it obviously made a difference. besides the fact that we only had 12 players and had played in all 3 previous games that day. Unlike Terrebone who didnt have a lot of there starters in in the the first game.

and this tournament was poorly designed, all games in one day, there was a north bracket and a south bracket each with 3 teams in it. Instead of just playing the teams in our (north) bracket, we cross bracketed with the south bracket which made us have 3 games instead of just 2, and then the top team from each bracket with the most points plays each other, so autimatically you are going to play the same team twice in one day. Why? Thats all i want to know. Why not just play the teams in your bracket so each team only has 2 games and then have a final with the top team out of each bracket, That way nobody has to play 4 games in one day and you dont have to play the same team twice.

i'm guessing they wanted to guarantee every team at least 3 games...that is what you look for in a tournament. however, i agree the format was a bit off. what you can do with a 6 team 1 day tournament is play bracket play (2 games) then the top 2 play in the finals & allow the no. 2 & no. 3 team from each bracket to play each other.
with this there is no repeat teams you play & everyone gets three games.

just from talking to other players on the terrebone team, they said that they could only get the principal and administration out for one game and didnt want to come out any other days, and thats why it was a 1 day tourny. but thats just what they told me

they said something about having another host school that dropped out so that may have had something to do with it

South Terrebonne traditionally helps them host tournaments, and the adminstration from ST forced ST to back out of their agreement with Terrebonne. Therefore Terrebonne pushed it to a 1 day event. (Is the story I heard)
