No way, St. Thomas Aquinas will take this one. They've played the best teams in the state so they are going to be well prepared.

yea they have played some good teams but following St. Amants play in the Dutchtown tourny, coming back and beating a well talented team, i think it gives them confidence because they might have found their lineup. When St. amant plays South Terrebonne, i think, it will prove were they stand in the tournament i wouldnt count St. Amant out yet

Interesting day--first off it was good to meet soccermomths, and have some time to hang out with my bud John Hebert. Some very nice people at Terrebonne.
Screwy day soccerwise---
1)St Thomas Aquinas's JV shows up, plays Terrebonne, who holds out all their starters for disciplinary reasons and plays with their jv and STA wins 2-1.
2) St Amant gets a PK in all three games---and MISSES ALL THREE.
3) South Terrebonne playing Aquinas, gets up 1-0 with around 4 to play and TRIES TO PUSH FORWARD FOR ANOTHER GOAL. Aquinas catches them and scores with less than one to play for a 1-1
4) Terrebonne scores with 1 SECOND LEFT to beat St Amant 2-1.
5) HL Bourgeois is leading Aquinas 2-1 with less than a minute to play, and they too commit players to going forward to try and get another. Aquinas again counters with 2 players and scores with under a minute to play to Tie 2-2. Aquinas first goal is off a PK when an HLB player just bends over and picks up a ball that he mistakenly thought was out (it wasnt even close). Stunning.
All in all a good day of soccer. The format of this tournament could use tweaking, but the two highest point totals made the finals. I enjoyed playing the teams on our schedule and had some great soccer from my own team. Thought the competiton was quite even.

St Thomas was actually their JV. They played very well, they had no subs and played with a lot of heart,

Coachray40 it was an INTERESTING day. It was very nice meeting you also. You have a very well coached team. It's nice to see you have Adrian Garcia that has joined your coaching staff. Good luck with the season.

HOUMA -- Earlier this season, Terrebonne suffered a loss to St. Thomas Aquinas. So when the teams met in the finals of the Terrebonne Parish Challenge, the Tigers were seeking revenge.
Terrebonne got that revenge with a 4-0 win over the Falcons Saturday night at Tom B. Smith Stadium.
In the teams’ other matchup this season, St. Thomas Aquinas beat Terrebonne 2-1.
On this night, though, Terrebonne totaled 20 shots, and paired with a stingy defense, were able to shutout the Falcons.
"We played well today," Terrebonne coach Julio Contreras said. "I am happy with our effort in the last game."
Terrebonne (10-3-1) dominated in all phases of the game as the Falcons managed just two shots on goal. Perhaps even more impressive, though, was allowing St. Thomas Aquinas to cross midfield less than 10 times throughout the match, with midfielder Adam Marcel playing a key role in that achievement.
"Adam defended very well," Contreras said. "Both teams were tired also, and that factored into (the game). Each team played four games on the day."
St. Thomas Aquinas coach William Sanchez credited Terrebonne’s depth as a key factor in the game.
"Terrebonne is a good team," said Sanchez, whose team had just 12 players available due to their commitment in another tournament. "They had more depth."
Terrebonne capitalized on its depth and substituted liberally.
Terrebonne got on the board in the game’s 11th minute, when Beeson’s shot sailed past Falcon goalie Paul Labue (fives saves) and into the left corner.
Beeson added a goal in the 51st minute, and completed his hat trick in the 58th minute, scoring from point blank range.
"Josh is a complete player," Contreras said. "He is a leader on the field."
Neil Robertson scored the Tigers other goal in the 54th minute. Robertson controlled a loose ball and put it in the back of the net.
"I think all of the teams that participated in the tournament enjoyed it and benefited from it," Contreras said. "It is our first year doing it and we hope to make it a tradition."

if they do this tournament again next year the need to schedule the games better, and i know it wasnt their fault we only had 12 players, but playing 4 games in one day is tough for any team.
the final was 1-0 in the first half and then we just couldnt get anything to go our way, everyone was tired and had trouble getting up and down the field.
and we definetly crossed midfield more than 10 times in the first half alone, and im pretty sure we had more than 2 shots. the first half was pretty even, the second half terrebonne's bench came into effect

Don't take too much to heart about what was written, the Houma Courier fails to get most things about soccer correct. Their are numerous things in error about that article.
The tourny was supposed to be 3 days but the other team that was going to host pulled out.

Congrats Terrebonne for winning the tourney. You should be proud. But posting an article like that when you beat a team that played 4 games in 1 day with 12 JV players (according to one post). Come on! If you notice, the STA team was in two different tounaments over the week end. Not sure how they pulled that one off, but they did it. Nevertheless, congrats.

Didn't mean to offend anyone with posting the article. I apoligize. It was a great tourny and I thought everyone did an outstanding job. Terrebonne played 4 games just like STA. They had 2 back to back that morning. I apoligize again.

And beeson didn't play hardly at all most of the day except in the finals, if i heard right.
