one thing i have to say is that sunday is a church day i know but your son made a commitment and when he makes one you make one. soccer is on sunday because parents have to work during the week would you like to miss work to take your son to a soccer game? No you would'nt! besides the piont it's only during the school year you have all summer to go to church as a familly, if I'm not misstaken church is on every wendsday, and sunday. also your son will not be in school forever some boys wont have a chance to play soccer in college or pro. so enjoy your sons soccer games while he is in school cause you may never see him play again when he graduates.

One thing that makes me sick as a player through the years is to have a game on sunday and have player miss a game so his parents could put on the dog and pony show at church and try to put up a front like they are the perfect family. Although you know they fought the whole way there about the game and the whole way home about making the kid miss the game

wow this is really funny that parents actually are whinin about not having "together time" with their family because their kid has soccer on Sunday. If you want "qulaity time" with your kids then go watch your kids play. becuase if the only thing you have to do on sunday is go to church there shouldnt be anything else you have to do right? and o yeah ive been playin soccer for 10 years and whether it was rec, rec+, or premier i have had sunday games and my family has been able to make it to church. so maybe you should look into something called "planning ahead" and "scheduling",

since when is soccer a religious activity? what self centered rightiousness it takes to assume that one particular day shou8ld not have games.
what about jewish players or muslim, or agnostics or atheists?

we always play lots on sundays now or we have practice. we make sure that it's after everybody's church i don't see what the problem with it is. ppl who play soccer should be committed enough to not care if it's on sunday
