The truth of the matter really is that nobody is perfect. Now hold on a minute. I'm not going down that route of everybody's human or anything like that, so listen clearly. In this match, a player was through on goal and missed clearly, didnt even hit the target, pretty embarrasing. Then another through ball, the same player just couldnt get there. Same player, a one on one with the goalkeeper, saved. Then in the second half, the same player shot straight at the goalkeeper from close range, pretty embarrasing. However, this same player then scored two goals, and Ronaldo had won the World Cup for his country. No one's perfect, and embarrasing things happen, but it's how you come back from those mishaps that counts.

I'd have to say getting megged is probably the most embarassing thing that can happen during a game.

no the most embarassing thing is definitely either running into your own goalpost, missing an open goal, running into your own player, scoring an own goal, and realizing you dont have shinguards on 20 minutes into the game isnt embarassing, but its a pretty bad feeling too.

i think not scoring a hat-trick every game is embarrassing. But then again, i am a natural born goalscorer.

I think parents that wont shut up and go come on baby score a goal for momma, and yell at their kids the whole game is pretty embarassing . How many of us have not wanted to tell them be quiet.
