Moderators - Why not post the reason why you are closing a thread before you actually close it? It makes a whole lot more sense to do that, so people will know not to do the same thing again.

As a moderator on the boys' forum, I have locked very few threads. The one's I do...I usually have a post in there as to why. 9 times out of 10 though, it is locked becasue it has gotten way off topic.
ps - why don't you send in a top 10 anymore? Your alma mater is moving up the rankings.

Often I don't have time to say why I'm locking a thread. Most of the time, there is a very obvious reason for locking it. But I next time I will try to post a quick reason for locking it.
