i think that it was a great move for the Saints to pick up QB Drew Brees, cause now they get a great experienced QB, thats not a rookie, like Leinhart, and now have a chance to pick up a great defensive player in the draft, defense has been one of the Saints key problems, besides a crappy QB in Brooks, these last couple of years.
So yall tell me if the move of picking up Brees by the Saints was a good move or not.

Not a bad one, but they lost LeCharles Bentley to Cleveland Darrin Howard to the Eagles--so much for rebuilding the D and the offensive line.
Anything is better than Aaron Brooks
Gotta like the idea of trading down and gaining some more draft picks. Youth is the way to go--the Saints are going to suck for the next 2 years because they cant get any legitimate free agents to come to a bombed out NO. Leinart is going to be a bust--the guy cant run, has bad knees, has a weak arm, doesnt speak real well, isnt a charismatic leader, and is generally waaaaaayyyyy over rated. Still dont know why so many are so high on him--reminds me of another recent PAC-10 Quarterback--RYAN LEAF.
P.S--Leaf had a better arm than Leinart

brooks had his moments and has the ability. his decision making and maturity level is horrible though...thank God i don't have to watch him come laughing off the field after throwing his third interception anymore...happened on a weekly basis

I love the Saint, but when i saw that play, i just couldn't help lauphing. And also, this past year, the Saints gave Brooks that arm thing that had all the plays on them, to prevent him from delay of game penalties, and he still wasn't getting the snap off in time. To me, i just think he is just a little messes up in the head. Well maybe really messed up in the head, lol.

I gotta agree with you there, I've always been a huge Saints fan and I was a Brooks fan for the first couple games when he first started playing but after that...hated the guy. of course i guess it was a bad sign in his first game when he almost didn't get the TD cause he was dancing into the endzone.

Saints pick up Michaul Bennet from the Vikings, who rushed for over 1,600 yards in 2001.
