my question is... what is from behind, if you go through his legs?!?
if a person cuts the ball to move on goal and a person from behind or on side slides at the ball is this from behind, or is clean because he left an open shot at the ball!?

That's what Bags could do-tackle between the legs from behind, clean on the ball.

I understand tackling from behind to be when you are trailing a player and you slide or put your leg in front to take teh ball (easier to get away with it if you slide in my opinion), I guess going through their legs but if they are running that's very tough. I'm pretty sure as long as you stop the ball and don't touch the man you're fine.

a lot of refs are real sensitive about these and consider if you are running along side a player and you slide even if you get the ball it is still a foul because u came from 'behind'

A tackle from behind is considered clean when only the ball is touched by the feet. What a good ref is looking for is whether the attacker contacts any part of the opponents leg either before OR after the tackle. One rarely sees this skill done correctly at the high school level. There are a few premier players who can accomplish this task and it is a site to see. I cringe when a ref allows a blatent dangerous tackle from behind and he/she is 60 yards away. I also get upset when a beautiful tackle is whistled and that same ref is still 60 yards away. Fitness...well, that's another thread.

i've been Specifically a sweeper for close to 6 years now and i just wanna say that i can "EASILY" tackle from behind... and thats not to brag thats just to bring up the point that it can be done..... it all depends on the ref.... is he fair or not..... or if he just dislikes ur team or favors the other.... hands down....

a tackle from behind with contact, regardless if you get the ball or not, is a foul...don't touch the player, it is fair
