Once again, while changing my formations, the game prevents me from finishing my roster, because they set a deadline for entering teams 4 hours from kickoff.
So, forget me trying to play this game to win. It already sucks that only those people wishing to buy trades have a chance of winning. Now this most definitely will result of me not caring about it. Poor marketing on MLS' part. It is ashame, because their website is better than any other professional league in the world, but the fantasy game is no match for the EPLs which requires no money to be competitive and does not prevent you from entering your roster till game time.

Its your own LSU is great fault that you waited until 4 hours before the game to set your roster.

Oh, I know. Anyone who plays fantasy football, knows it takes at least 5 hours to set your roster.
sheeesh
Actually, my rosters were set, but I went in to replace those lower salary players with people that I thought would start. What sucked on my part, was one of the players I took off, actually started for LA galaxy, so I could have made it with him.
My goalkeeper didn't start, so I had to replace him.
I got a letter from fantasy football today.
Here it is:
Dear MLS Fantasy Challenge Player,
We understand there has been some confusion over the roster freeze and price update schedule for the 2006 game. Going forward, the game will follow the following roster freeze and price update schedules:
- Rosters for weekend games will freeze at 12pm EDT on Saturday and will remain frozen until Sunday night at 11pm. You will not be able to make changes to your roster over this weekend period.
- Rosters for weekday games (Monday through Friday) will freeze at 12pm EDT. Transactions made after 12pm EDT will affect your roster for the following day.
- Player prices will update daily from Monday through Saturday at 12pm EDT. There will be no price updates on Sunday.
We apologize for any confusion these new rules may have caused, but we're confident that they will make for a better game as we move through the 2006 MLS season.
Thanks for playing and good luck!
MLS Fantasy Challenge Commish

I have changed the title to not all that bad for a very good improvement this year because I think a change has happened with the fantasy league.
Last year and the year before, the league allowed 25 free trades and after that you bought them.
I always said "buying trades" was a bad way to operate a fantasy league, as it is unfair to those people who choose not to buy trades. A fantasy game is something you want amd need people participating in for it to be fun and cool and effective.
If you don't get the same chance as another person does, then it might detract from your motivation and fun of playing the game.
Playing fantasy sports is something the leagues want, because it promotes their game. So, it should seek to not profit from them directly with the fantasy game, but instead use it as a lure to fans to watch their games.
anyway, back to the fantasy game
This week, I can make 3 or 4 trades (I think I spent one trying to get my roster to Eleven players).
This is a big improvement and will change the way the competition goes throughout the season. I think the limit should really only be ONE free trade per week (EPL fantasy League - 1 free per game week) it seems to me that MLSnet is allowing free trades every week which should make the seasonal competition better. I could be wrong about this. I need to read the rules.
That is unless you forget to make your rosters final 4 hours before kickoff.
The clock is set at 11 am. All trades and rosters must be set by this time.
Rosters for weekend games will freeze at 12pm EDT on Saturday and will remain frozen until Sunday night at 11pm. You will not be able to make changes to your roster over this weekend period.
- Rosters for weekday games (Monday through Friday) will freeze at 12pm EDT. Transactions made after 12pm EDT will affect your roster for the following day.
