Don't think there will be many player changes from Sven's squads! What do you think?

Most definetly, youngsters will be given a better chance to prove themselves. If McClaren was manager for world cup, Lennon would definetly be going, and a lot of the other youngsters playing would probably be going, plus I don't think he will pick a favorite and even though it hasn't been stated, Becks is his favorite for the most part. I think the English side of McClaren will have a lot more grit and fight in it.

I hope so, sometimes it seems there is too much finesse and not enough fight! Bring back the Terry Butcher mentality (Give blood for your Country, and then some)!

I think aswell that England will gel as a team now and I onestly think that England would be the next Brazil. We have the players for it. And McClaren will bring back the English stile Footy which is nice, comfortable passing with excellent finishing. Onestly I think he will do a delightful job when he comes here. Look what hes done to boro, a relagation contender before he came but has taken them to many mid table finishes and cup finals. I wonder what he could do for the Three Lions?

Honestly, I didn't expect much from a clearly dysfunctional FA.

the england team will get better under him no doubt, look at the youngsters he's dealt with at Boro this past year, he's put together such a young team that can still compete, except for that thrashing from Arsenal 7-0. I think that he'll bring up a lot of youngsters and mold them into great international players just like he'd done at Boro and that would be fantastic for England's future

Maybe if England do well this summer, then Sven will be his assistant??? I'm not joking, imagine if England got to the final, I would want Sven as a form of technical director.

usasoccerboy i really do think you are jealous of the england team, just because the states are not as good does not meen you have to put down england all the time. McClaren is a top notch gaffer and will do well for england i can put money on it mate.

Jealous of England? LOL!
And I don't envy England's team at all. If I was to envy a team, I would envy a team that is consistently good.
Italy, Holland, Brazil, Germany, Argentina are all more envious than England.
Last time I checked, the USA and England finished as quarterfinalist in the world cup.
I am not saying McClaren is a bad coach.
I am saying he will probably be fired by the end of euro08.
