Mine (even though Carencro is the state champion, I voted Lafayette #1 because they did not lose a game in the playoffs, were 32-1, and beat Carencro three times, by a combined score of 14-1).
Division I:
1. Lafayette 2. Carencro 3. Fontainebleau 4. Jesuit 5. Brother Martin 6. Captain Shreve 7. Acadiana 8. St. Paul's 9. Dutchtown 10. Baton Rouge
Division II:
1. Vandebilt 2. St. Thomas More 3. Alexandria 4. Pineville 5. East Ascension 6. Ben Franklin 7. Tara 8. R.E. Lee 9. Neville 10. Parkway
Division III:
1. St. Louis 2. Teurlings Catholic 3. St. Martin's 4. Newman 5. Opelousas Catholic 6. Episcopal BR 7. West Feliciana 8. University 9. St. Charles 10. St. Thomas Aquinas
Overall Top 10 1. St. Louis 2. Lafayette 3. Carencro 4. Fontainebleau 5. Jesuit 6. Vandebilt 7. Teurlings Catholic 8. St. Thomas More 9. Brother Martin 10. Captain Shreve

huh?ash 0 vandy 4 ,ea 0 vandy 8, st micheals 0 vandy 3 St Micheal district champs and Tara came in second, not the other way around
Tara was not co champs with stmicheal. The point differerntial was in St Micheals favor
St Micheals when it was none as Bishop sullivan had a similar situation with Mckinnley and in that instance Bishop had a point advantage over Mckinley and Bishop was district champs then ,also

Tara was co-champs with St. Michael's and Tara's win over St. Michael's was more recent than St. Michael's win over Tara. Comparing scores is helpful, but not always accurate in determing who is the better team.
The point differential is used for playoff seeding purposes. For "district champion" title district record is the only factor used.
St. Michael's and Tara had the same district record. They were 1-1 against each other. Tara won more recently and was hotter at the end of the season than St. Michael's. That's why I voted Tara above St. Michael's, and I assume those are the reasons Tara got 12 votes to St. Michael's 8.

Wow. You have ASH so high but Parkway so low? Parkway lost to ASH 2-1 in double overtime. They should be around 5-6.

BML7...don't put too much into the polls. People have short memories. We compiled a 24-4-2 record this year playing what many agree is one of the top 3 toughest schedules in the state. We lost 2 games to teams that would have been in the Semifinals of 5A (Brother Martin was...Lafayette would have been). The other two losses was one district loss and of course our 1 goal loss to Acadiana. BUT because our slip up at Acadiana we tumbled way down and even out of some Top Tens. So get ready for next year and don't worry too much about the poll.

Yes, but that just determines seeding. McKinley and Bishop were cochamps . Timeaus is right, and I agree with his D-I poll. We have the patches. But hey, who else remembers that far back.

Anybody think St. Louis will move up to #1 nationally after winning the state championship? They were #2 as of 2/28.

You would think that St. Louis has a chance to move up. 25 shutouts in a season must be close to a national record.

St. Louis' shutout record this year is the tops in the nation by 5 shutouts.
Not sure if it's an all-time national record, but it would have to be close.
It's hard to wrap your mind around 25 shutouts in a single season.

How is Lafayette the overall #1 and St Louis #2, when St Louis is undefeated and the only team to beat Lafayette? I understand the sympathy for Lafayettes plight in D1, and while I dont feel they should have the top spot there, I'll give it to the voters on that one. But to vote St Louis #2(they are ranked ahead of Lafayette nationally for petes sake)in the overall poll is just plain biased. Something like this really calls the LAPrep poll into question in my opinion. Cmon guys--vote with your head, not your heart.
