Huge rival. Mount Carmel got away with the last game. Will they get this one too?

Though Dominican has a pretty good team, MCA has a better one that clearly works well together and will come off with their well deserved win. Last year means nothing. This is now. Not trying to get DHS down- just my opinion from watching both teams play numerous times.

When and where is the game?
I suspect this will be another game where Dominican plays up to MC's level -- much better than it normally does due to the rivalry. Just like the last game, it will be close. However, I believe overall MC has more talent on the field than Dominican and will again prevail.
Just my humble opinion. My prediction is not meant to discount the seasoned Dominican coach, who has been successful in getting his teams to peak at the right time, nor the many talented Dominican premier players (some of which have been hampered by injury this season).
Good luck to both teams - whenever you may play.

Agree with Dogwater. Dominican will play up not only for the rivalry but because they are only 1 game behind MCA in the district. I expect another hard fought match that will be close.

I just think that Mt. Carmel is too talented to loose this game. Dominican has not shown a whole lot this year.

I think the game will end in a tie and Mt. Carmel will claim it as a victory.. That is what reddevil told me would happen

We finally agree on something burtvincent These games are always a fight so I actually think it will be a close game and it could go either way. If MCA shows up and is able to score early they should win. But if they let Dominican hang around then it's anyone's game.

MCA wins 2-1 in 1st overtime on very sloppy field conditions and ensures itself the toughest road to the championship game as the number 1 team in district 10.

Actually in reviewing the brackets I think MCA would have the 2nd toughest road and slightly ahead is the 3-2 vs 7-2 game which has a tougher 2nd game than MCA would have.

I agree, the win means MCA has a tough road ahead. But you play to win, you don't play based on how LHSAA decides to determine the brackets every year.
First half was dominated by MCA even though the field was in terrible shape. MCA started the second half the same way but then Dominican took over the midfield. Dominican went up on minute 15 of the second half. MCA then gave it all to tie and manage to do so with a spectacular goal. I hope someone was taping. Minute 8 of the first overtime a great 1-2 by MCA gave one of the seniors a great goal to remember in her last game against their main district rival.
Back to back undefeated district championships for a young group of girls. Tough road ahead, yes, but they will be tough to beat.
The two best things from tonight's game (1) great officiating and (2) nobody got hurt
