Our Keeper was not allowed to wear her BRIGHT pink and black keeper's jersey in either of our two south Louisiana playoff games. Can anyone enlighten me as to why?

clashing with other teams or referees colors? Does not have to be identical - as in a purple team will not likely get to play a team in black.
maybe the siding of the pink shirt had a color that matched others? Also, i think for playoffs, they tighten up even more.

I would have countered with 4.1.1.i
I cannot imagine a bright pink and black top being mistaken for anything else.

PHS's road uniform is black with red stripes on the side, keeper wanted to wear black with pink stripes. Better to be worn for home matches when PHS is in white.

That does make a little sense, but I don't think anyone could misjudge that pink for black and red, it's almost neon!! Thanks for the input though.

The colors are to close when it comes to a fast moving play when a ref has a split second to make 'judgment calls'.

I have seen keepers allowed to wear colors almost the same as the opponents jerseys, and at one time even questioned a referee when I say a silver jersey-ed team play a team in white jersey. The answer I received in both instances was that the Referee could tell the difference and that is all that counted. What fans or coaches thought was immaterial. In this case the officials must have decided that the color of her jersey was too close to one of the field players colors (IE: the black on GK jersey was such to the large amount of black on the field players jerseys - either team).

You also have to remember when it is raining, navy blue, red, any dark, becomes really dark and looks alike.
