Bottom line...get it right. It may be a bit ugly, but it was right. I've called back a goal as a 4th official for handling the ball into the goal. The center and AR2 were obstructed and couldn't make the call. I had to.

That's a great example of team work among the members of the referee crew. I know that as 4th official I'm reluctant to get "too involved" in the game, but there's obviously a place for appropriate involvement.

When my roommate and I were watching this, we were thinking about you dulac!
Man, that fourth official was definitely paying attention wasn't he!!
Now, they had headsets to help get the call right. What would you do in this situation without this to help the referee out? Would you be comfortable as a fourth official bringing something like this to the attention of the referee as the game continued? You can't answer dulac because we saw that you had the... well... courage to say something.
Also, as a side discussion, a player on the team who thought it should be a PK pushed the referee pretty hard after the handling. Should we come back and admonish this player in some way? If so, caution? Send off?
